    Hello all

Just survived a trip to the land of hell (otherwise known as Toys R Us). Told Piglet he had £5 to spend....and he picks an aeroplane for £12.50! Think I was done!:rotfl::rotfl:He's not an "I want, I want.." sort of child though so I got him it and now he's as happy as a pig in the proverbial!

Suppose now I ought to think about housework......:(

I think I've guessed what Marru meant with her 'Look what I found' post earlier.

Is it in reference to a brand you can buy via Ocado called 'Look What We Found'?

I shall not rest until this mystery is resolved, so help me God!

Erm, BP, I don't think it's a Hercule Poirot type issue mate, it's just a list of who's posted on here.....(or is it me being dim?) :D;)
One thing that's been really upsetting me is that I have a very bad cough. Sounds trivial but it has been going on for over a year. After 8 months I finally recently had tests in hospital. CT scan, lung function tests. There is something strange going on as I had pneumonia at Christmas too. The only thing they came up with is I am slightly asthmatic. They said to try to lose weight as it could be acid reflux. But again recently I had a bad cold and it went straight to my chest. Had antibiotics and last week a course of steroid tablets but still coughing.
It is disrupting everything I enjoy doing. I play sax and sing in a jazz band and choir and have a couple of concerts and a wedding to do in the next few weeks but despair of how I am going to do them. I am fed up of going back to the GP and getting nowhere. He's fed up seeing me too I think.
Its just that it stops me doing the things I really enjoy in life and I need them so I can cope with all the other mundane stuff which doesn't give me any joy. Sorry to moan :o. Just don't know what to do about it all.

Don't apologise for moaning, it sounds a right 'mare. With zero medical background (well. apart from going to see my doctor last week :D) I can't possibly advise, i only wish I could. Doesn't sound like a weight thing but are you very overweight? Having asked that very personal question (don't answer!) I can't see how....well I did say I'm no medic so I'll shut up. For 2 seconds. Sorry luv, not sure where to say you go from here for a 2nd opinion...homeopathy? Different dr.?
The birth of a new government coincides with my fifth AF birthday.

RA if you stay sober thro this lot then you're OK for life :rotfl:

(But never let that guard down )

Anyhoo.....now Enders is on at the same time as Corrie tonight (& with the great digital inititative I can't watch one & tape the other) so.....well, all I can say is the government so far don't impress me. And just WHEN is Holby on? These are the issues the public cares about!

I'd better go I've got 14lbs of damson jam bubbling away downstairs (or, possibly, a giant boiled sweet by now...)

Hey chaps - RA well done on 5 years AF - don't be a stranger!

Hello to the rest of you - still AF here - Jo keeping me on the straight and narrow by random political texts (!?) and associated nonsense.

Works getting a bit stressy and full on - so trying to keep head clear and getting head down - so might not be around too much but will lurk away and post when I can.

Miss P well done on surviving TRU

Winebox - good use of damsons - I do love them - one of the down sides of not being in Englandshire I think.

    Hi folks,

Hope all of you are well.

I am feeling c r a p, after drinking all day Monday and Tuesday, and getting through £130 :-/

F@cked up my appointments today too (CAB, Doctors, Dentists), and have postponed starting work at the homeless charity (boss is understanding).

Girlfriend is coming over and kindly bringing grub, as I haven't eaten hardly anything for two days.

Am at the end of my tether guys. Gutted for wasting money and health, after going nearly 2 1/2 weeks sober.

Don't know how to do this anymore. Feel so sad.
