The great quilt idea......

alphabet - one designThe border looks the same colour in each pic too - we could be very MSE and buy threads for our square and then do the square a few times to use up the thread for another quilt or one person could get the threads (maybe able to ask for them to be donated by some kind shop?) and then send them out to the stitchers - don't mind helping co-ordinate something like that if that's the way we decide to go
Two great ideas there.... I think I like the second idea the best.... If everyone agrees can we smile really nicely at you and ask you to try and sort that out please? If we can't get them donated maybe some of us could donate some towards it?

alphabet - any designI really like the idea of the fairytale alphabet. The colours might not match though as I will have to make do with the colours I have.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

alphabet - one designdepends on the timescale. I am happy to do 2 tho in reality of we only set a month would only get 1 done.
Can I do L (and S if required)loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
alphabet - any designI don't mind doing any of the patterns suggested.
Let me know - I would like to do letters J & M if possible, but if some one else is doing them I can do any two.
Do you want us to alter colours, and I would need charts if possible.
I have a pdf file of the layout if anyone would like it.
Really looking forward to doing this - it will bring us together as a really good group of freinds.
Kind wishes to all

alphabet - any designCan we have an updated list of participants please?
I love the idea of Fairytale ABC, but would need a copy of it tho.
I'd like to do "Q", but will happily take whatever I'm given.
I think it's a great idea to share threads if possible, as my stock is minimal. Although if I do have to buy them, it might give me an incentive to do some more cross stitch.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
cartoon animals - margaret sherryLooks like we have a winner with the fairytale alphabet! If we are all choosing letters, please can I have U. If you end up short of letters I'll try and do two but I'll just choose the one for now.:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0

Oh - just noticed it is the issue that has the bear I used for the cross stitch I did when my grand nephew was born. I just had the pattern before (bought for 50p on Ebay).

a mix of cartoon and realistic animalsYet another for the fairytale alphabet,
I can do whatever letters that are running spare, as the M has been taken twice already!! S'pose the K would be a good start...and the P possibly!
kezbabybabe - yes please to the *nudge, nudge* !!
Are we doing this on Aida or evenweave? White I pressume, in either case.
I have plenty DMC threads to probably do my own squares...but don't have excessive amounts to share with everyone, though will probably be able to supply some to a few.. It would be good to get some for those with few threads though...across town is the best...we could even get a good deal from Louise there if we ask very nicely!
Had it confirmed that my toe is broken, and have been told to rest it lots...so plenty of stitching today them!
