my 2nd choice would be mixed alphabet. i'll be happy to turn my square and maybe a couple of others into patches but i shan't volunteer to make up the whole thing as i'm asuming you'd like it back this millenniumn!:rotfl:Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. I'm going to try and find someone to make up the whole thing for us,
sorry I've not been on I've had to kick my OH out, he has had a big work job on and needed every flipping computer we have!
Thanks to the fantastic BubblesRealising that we should be fine if we use magazine charts and give it to a charity rather than sell it, we are getting closer
To anyone that needs magazine charts I'm sure a few of us can help with that and I'll try and help with whoever doesn't have the fabric
I'll pop back later and maybe we could decide on what we all want to stitch.... It looks like one of the projects will be alphabet... Is everyone ok with that? And how many people have magazine alphabet charts? I dint think I have but someone did post a link to a magazine site that has an alphabet chart
for those that aren't keen on the alphabet project what would you like the second one to be?0 -
alphabet - any designwow I was called fantsatic! I think even if we auction it with the proceeds going to charity its still fine. Its ok as long as you personally dont profit.
I have 3 alphabet charts which I can scan in or copy if needed.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

alphabet - any designI've got a couple of cross stitch books with alphabets in - might be mostly Victorian style. Again, not sure of the copyright issues with them coming from a book.
(Alphabet was my choice on the poll)
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
alphabet - any designHere is a design I scribbled at work - sorry for quality - photobucket won't let me upload pdf. Just an idea for the layout of the quilt. It is similar to the one I used to the floral alphabet.
As seen earlier in the thread Margaret Sherry has an alphabet on cross stitcher website.
http://www.crossstitchermagazine.co.uk/page/crossstitch?catname=/MargaretSherryABC
I also have the copy of the floral alphabet too - they are about 5x5 inch and only take approx a week to do each.
I am no use at quilting, so I can't help there. Though, I do know in one issue of cross stitcher - it describes how to make a quilt, if you did the floral alphabet and wanted to make it a quilt.

i think child friendly would be good - there must be a toy alphabet out there somewhere. - ohhhhhh just like the one Louise posted in post 1696 on main thread.......... not toys but that was the idea i was thinking of - letter, pic, wordloves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. alphabet - any designRight from my magazines I was able to locate the following:
1) 'The World of Cross-stitching' Issue 115 Oct 06 - Kit & Balloon ABC - The boxes aren't quite even, but we could adjust the background to the widest one?
2) 'The World of Cross-stitching' Issue 109 Apr 06 - Mother's Day ABC - Don't be fooled by the name, it's pastel patterned letters, nothing else with them though. Though there's a flower which you can incorporate.
3) 'The World of Cross-stitching' Issue 119 - Penguin Party ABC - Quite cool, each letter has a penguin.
4) 'The World of Cross-stitching' Issue 113 Aug 06 - Butterflies ABC - letters are a bit slimmer and each one comes with a butterfly.
5) 'The World of Cross-stitching' Issue 152 - Fairytale ABC - has a bit of everything, dragons, unicorns, castles, princesses & princes.
I'll add pictures in a second.
I'll also look through my Needlecraft Magic folders later on this week.0
