thanks for the contribution, unfortunatly you are obviously unaware of how frustrating this has been for me.
I notice you are a regular on the sowing room thread, shame you lot (apologies to the2 volunteers who did) didn't have the time to spare for us but happy to put you twopence worth in with a picky writing error.

Im still around and have been following your fears with the same dread :o
I would be very happy to help with the quilting if you need me :D

My friend of 27 years got me into patchwork quilting but sadly last month she passed away from cancer but her husband gave me all her fabric and wadding so I would be happy to beable to use it for a good cause :)

I have pics on my homepage of the quilts I have done also cushion covers :o
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Hi my mum is still willing to to complete all of this. we did offer when it all started but things got taken in another way. She goes to a craft club every monday and they could to help. I wasnt going to say this but to be 100% honest, when this all started I thought it was a given my mum was doing the quilting and was shocked when an appeal was put out for someone to do it. She also most of the materials needed.

It would be great if your mum could still do the quilt but I just wanted to offer my services if needed :D it did puzzle me but I know your mum is prob better than me as Ive only been doing it for a short while :o
If she needs any fabric or bits I would be happy to help contribute anything helpful :D

I thought there were a couple of quilters knocking about on here :) Personally i think it would be great for either bubbles' mum or hart44 to do it or maybe work together in some way. Saves dragging in more people especially when they have the materials already.

Good news everyone, my mum has stepped in to save the day. I will let everyone know where we stand when the patches arrive and possibly take regular photos. If there is a lot needed to be done, (not sure if the other grl has started at all? or I personally have no idea how long it takes) she has a womens guild she can enlist. Hart 44 your offer of help would be great cos it would be better to keep it more MSE related rather than have to name the Womans Guild and give them the credit! Where are you located?
