cartoon animals - margaret sherryOMG you are all way ahead of me. I'm just at the end of one of the busiest times of the year for me so I've not managed to do anything yet but I'll be doing mine next week while I'm on holiday but won't be able to post it until I get back which will be 28th.
Is that ok? Sorry - I feel like I'm letting the side down a bit.

Day one. I stitched the purple first, then started on the whites and greys. This was probably a mistake as I got really bored with the similar colours!
Decided to add some sparkle by adding the gold border.
Made a few errors with the backstitching, so had to do some unpicking. That'll teach me for watching TV whilst I stitch. The french knot took ages until I got it looking ok. Soooo pleased I only had one to do. Usually I replace them with beads, but obviously that's not ideal for a baby quilt.
So I just need to chart and stitch my name and location then I'm done. Might not get that finished before my holiday on Sunday, though.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

cartoon animals - range of designersLec - you sound in a similar position to me. (though i cant take mine with me). I have made a good start now though. Good Luck.
Ruth Honey - that's really lovely. Your french knot looks like a perfect circle.:)i've made a discovery, i think... i dont think i have soo many french knots to do afterall.... in fact i think i've only got one
. i now think one of my stars is a different shade of sand to the others, after looking at the threads that came, not the same colour covered in french knots... fancy charting a colour with a black circle as it's 'code symbol'! oh dear, silly me! (though a second opinion would be greatly recieved
)
