cartoon animals - range of designersHi Simac, Emzy and *Louise*, THANK YOU SO MUCH for looking at the chart for me.
I was so puzzled last night, and this morning, and frustrated that i couldnt figure it out. I think i thought there might not be any halfs as so often it's a whole then the backstitch outlines 'across' it, like my stars have No 1/2 at all which is kind of odd! so Emzy you are probably right about the reason.
I think you are all right about what to do and where, Simac, thank you so very much for writing out the chart for that bit. I've written your chart bit down on my printed sheet and have looked and looked again and do agree with you, so will do just that. Really appreciate this - thank you!!
If it had just been for me i would have just guessed, but i so want this to be right as it's for such a good cause.
Also, Louise and Emzy, thank you for your words to Keiss, i was starting to get a little worried myself and still will be as i'm away for over a week during the time and there's a lot of stuff to do before as well as make some things for a shop to deliver as i'll be passing so it will save postage, which i hadnt anticipated but they are selling well so want more... sorry. head's a little on overdrive tonight. perhaps not the best for stitching!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Hi 23rdSpiral.
I'm no expert (so you may be better waiting for 2nd opinions :rotfl:), but for what it's worth here is my 2 pence worth. . . .
1)I have blown up your letter I as big as I can on my screen and I would have read it as 2 1/2 stitches.
2)Again having blown up the picture to a ridiculous size, I can see a very small feint black line at the very top of the square like it is supposed to be there but they accidentally covered it up with the peach colour. If it was my square I would do a backstitch there, as like you said I think it would look odd without.
3)Ooh now that one is horrible! I've looked at it a few times, I read it as full stitches. I can't draw little moons on my keyboard so I've put below the blocks and colours. Hope it makes sense!!! This is the block of 9 squares starting on the row with the darker pink cheek. . .

Like I said, it's only my opinion of how I would have read it. Hope it helps!
Have checked magazine and you are 100% right :T Not sure if I can scan the magazine for you Hogshead and PM the Z - will have a try after my next brew!

alphabet - one designI was thinking of editing my post #5 to copy and paste pictures of the squares that have been completed (in order)
I figured there was already a lot in the first 3 posts, just wanted to do a bit to help keep track of which squares have been done so far.
Would anyone object to this?Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
