    Hya all

Not been on for ages, sorry!

As to the MSE square, not sewn it yet...here's my squared paper plan:

    MSE%20backstitch.jpg

I assumed we would be sewing a gold border and purple border the same size as the letter squares, with the writing inside the gold...will be getting it done tomorrow and will post a piccie asap.

Have finished my K square, but not sure about the writing, here's my paper plan for my name and county (Worcestershire)...a tad long!

    Name%20county.jpg

I could have used Gloucestershire..(we are on the border and have a Glos postcode...but it is the same length...Tewkesbury, our nearest town is only 4 letters less! I could go for the next village Bredon I suppose. Our own hamlet is double-barrelled and too long!!!

Any ideas what I should do??

Might go and get started with the MSE square now...who needs sleep!

PS Have decided to go for the above, going to do it now...head is slowly clearing now!

Will post piccies as soon as I can

PPS Had assumed I would be using the purple (DMC 333) for the MSE writing...but may have another think about that...

Hya, I have done "K" wth a pixie and it has 12 french knots..I "practiced" on the strawberries and had no problems with them...then when I did the eyes......!!

I think one eye got done six or seven times until I was happy with it...the other "only" took 3 attempts...
   !

Not done any sewing this morning...too busy gardening...off to work soon, so will have to leave my sewing until this evening. Will post a piccie once I have done.

Is that not right? Should it be 1 strand or 3 - am confuddled and can't find any instruction saying stitch it in any other number?

Im pretty sure on the chart it says to do the gold border in one strand doesn't it?

23rdspiral I had twelve and managed them all ok apart from the last one....I just wasn't happy with it until after a few attempts:mad:

yup - chart says 1 strand of gold border (look on the colours bit). it actually looks much better with 1 strand then 2........ I should know.

I've just checked on my original and the gold is one strand only not two. :)

I've not done any for a little while and am currently fixing my letter 'b' as I stitched it wrong. :o
