Aaaaarrgghhh! I've just been in the back room parceling up ebay stuff and could hear a lot of banging outside. I've just come back in the front room to feed Isla and next door now has scaffolding up outside and 3 big builders (possibly called Dave ;)) who can look straight in my window!

My sofa is right under the window and every time I try to latch Isla on they start drilling and she jumps then laughs. I may be going out for the rest of the day now.

EA - hope Lily's better soon.

Susan - sorry if my last post was a bit off, i was in a rush had to get jake to nursery,(and having quite a bad day!) but i probably didnt word my original post the way it was intended, i know its best to wait till 6 months, and i found doing so did make weaning a lot easier in many ways, jakes a terrible eater and i sometimes blame myself for weaning 'early', but i did what i thought was best at the time, i think what i meant was that between 17wks and 24wks is the "allowed" weaning time, if that makes sense, ie when the hv wont tell you off!!

anyway i'll leave it at that and hope i havent offended anyone!

    hope everyones ok, x

We had for the third morning in a row a poosplosion lol, which led yet again to another bath for T. I had thought it was because we were using size 2 and they were a lil large but this morning she had on a size 1 and still happened! So now I have no idea what size to stick with.

Happy Birthday Rhys :D hope you have a wonderful day x

beenie - if I lived closer I'd come sort out your buzz tyre there such a pita but I've learnt to deal with them now.

Have emailed the lady from eBay to ask when and where to pick up the L&G but she hasn't emailed back grrr!

I went into town and naughtily spent money on sun glasses for the boys and a cute sun hat for Amber. Plus coffee, sweets and a fruit scone with clotted cream. Was a nice day for it though.

Looks like Amber is working on backwards commando crawling today.

And thats Christopher been in big boy pants by day for a full week! An accident every second day, but he is doing really very well.

I now need a big kick up the bum to go tidy and clean this house.

Another early weaning debate! For goodness sake no one mention controlled crying or there's going to be chaos...

My view is that we all find our own ways of bringing our children up, and there will be times when we stick closely to the official line, and times when we make our own choices, and provided we are not putting the baby in danger by those choices, we should be left to get on with it. It always amuses me slightly when someone posts an angry post about early weaning citing the current guidelines and advice and berating parents for making other choices, when it is obvious from earlier posts that they themselves have ignored advice which they would prefer not to have been given (eg csection for a breach presentation, co-sleeping, no homebirth due to medical concerns) and they then berate the doctors, midwives and HVs as not knowing what they are talking about :rotfl:

IMHO maternal instinct is by far the best guide to how to look after your baby, and if your gut instinct is that your baby is ready for weaning, then you are probably correct, in the same way that your gut tells you that baby is sick or in pain, even when they are unable to communicate that to you in words.

any tips on cleaning a leather seatee?? i have used baby wipes but it still looks dirty?

Be careful with baby wipes. Some have alcohol in which can dry the leather out and make it crack.

I bought some Whizz leather cleaner from the Poundland for err a pound! It's in a spray bottle and it's good for a quick clean or clean up spills.

For a proper clean, saddle soap and a baby sponge works wonders.

Oooh i didn't tell you! Im allergic to my 2 weekly contact lense!

I went to specsavers to ask about daily disposables as in D&A they are very expensive and she did an eye exam thing and it took ages, she was asking loads of questions and really looking into my eyes alot.

I'm allergic to the daily disposables! I'm on monthlies now with hydrogen peroxide cleaner. It's brilliant! There's no messing on rubbing the lenses on your hand or using protien tablets or anything. You just pop them in the basket and stick them in some fresh peroxide. It reacts with a metal disc in the bottom of the case and bubbles away for 6 hours, and the bubbles do all the cleaning and disinfecting work for you. After 6 hours the peroxide has all gone and you're left with water in the pot, so you can just pop them straight into your eyes. So easy and I love it!

    Happy Birthday Rhys :j

Had my chipped tooth fixed. There was a hole under a filling in a big back tooth so he drilled that out and refilled it. The left side of my mouth is still stiff so eating my lunch was interesting and I've dribbled coffee everywhere :o:rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....
