A "piece" is a sandwich in Scotland! It's funny though, I would never say a "piece and tuna" or a "piece and gammon salad" but it seemed to go right with sausage in that sentence. And I might have a "piece and jam".

Tia, Caz, Csh - help me out please!
A piece is a sandwich in the midlands too :)

    Chinese was yummy...

Hubby now has a distinctly drainy whiff about him... He'll be sitting in the shed tonight at this rate...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    evening all,

loved reading your memories, one of my first is running down a hallway after getting in trouble for pulling my doll apart to see how it works. the thing is, i also did it to my older sister's doll too. i just wanted to make sure they both worked the same :D

rmac - i completely get where you are coming from on the CC front. i have been so close to trying it myself, but just can't bring myself to do it. i will be looking forward to reading about how you get on. i wish you all the luck xx

i must google and see when john lennon died

i know i shouldn't compare, but i do worry about how little LO actually says. we get a very clear 'mama' which is usually directed either at me or whoever she thinks will give her what it is she is after. we have 'bye' but that's about it. we have LOADS of chatting but nothing that forms any actual words. she can definitely shout and she also has her singing voice. i do keep trying to repeat words to her so she learns, so i am keeping my fingers crossed we have some more words soon.

had something else to add but now it gone ....

What was it about? I just saw harveys... which is where I got my couch from...

Tia - it was about train companies changing the times of on and off peak trains and the consequences on the ticket prices (doubling them) and how off peak starts at different times at different stations to make it even more confusing.

He was also live in the studio talking about it.

Krystal - yum Chinese, my favourite takeaway.

I'm all alone tonight both DH and Katie are in bed, DH has to be up for work at 3am.

AF - how old is your DD? Katie has just turned 3, she didn't start talking until she was almost 2, they get there in their own sweet time, I used to get very stressed about Katie's lack of speech but she's getting there.

Tia - our sofa is Harveys as well! They were chatting about delay in orders turning up and the shody quality! Must admit ours took ages to turn up too we were told 12 weeks and was more like 20 grrr.

On the subject of daft things we remember, we used to have an early remote that was linked to the tv with a really long wire lol.

Well t is shattered after her day and is out for the count but has been a real happy lil soul and seems to have no adverse reactions to the jabs. Meant to say she had to have her tummy button painted cos it's not healing right :( gotta go back in 2 weeks but looks yucky.

OH doesn't engage brain sometimes he's so bloody noisey grr and asked him to change Ts bum earlier as my finger is killing and am supposed to be keeping it dry and not aggrevating it, he told me he was resting and couldn't !!!!!!!

AF, Jasmine has hardly any words at all! i ask her to say mama... she says dada, im sure she knows exactly what shes doing lol, she does say mama when shes upset, and she makes 'a sound' when she points to jake, i can only imagine the sound she make is her way of saying his name (it sounds nothing like jake its more like er-huh ??lol) she points to his pic while he's at nursery its so cute!

Is your LO walking yet? jasmine still wont walk yet, jake was doing alot more by this age but i'm quite laid back about it (maybe too much), I think your LO is a v similar age to jas if i remember right, its probably far too early to worry yet,

One of my earliest memories is off mine and my sis brand new budgie flying off into the sky.. except my mum recently told us what really happened... dad let budgie out, flew into a wall and died,so rather than tell us that they pointed to a bird in the sky and told us it was flying away lol!!!
  • AF - LO was saying mama long before Benjamin was though. They all do stuff at their own rate, no point worrying about it.

    How's the CV coming?

R.Mac - hugs, I'll keep you company at the top of the stairs.

Kindof - I have this one for Katie, it does both forward and rear facing.

    Ohhh that looks lovely :)

We like the look of the Maxi Cosi Pearl as well, but Ive just read on a site about a recall on their family fix iso bases, but I guess if we bought one now they would have been checked.

    http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=10751&langId=-1&productId=101301&source=froogle&cm_mmc=Froogle-_-Shopping%20Sites-_-CPC-_-Froogle

I think we want a one thats isofix cos our car has isofix, but the only downside to that is that MIL and FIL couldnt use it in their car, but he could go in my aunties or brothers

Thanks rmac, so thats a nice one too, argh so much choice, but that one is a good one if we decide not to get a iso fix one

Aless I know OH thinks I am worrying but E is about 14 pounds now, so I dont think its going to be too long till he needs it? I will know for sure more once I get him weighed again on tuesday

Thanks Glam so thats another vote for the Britax

Thanks fattyboo, thats nice too, is that a isofix one?

Som give him a slap for me!!!!!! its like OH complained last night cos I asked him to do E's feed at 9pm before bed he was lije awww I did the 6pm one lol so I said ok I will do it but you can do the 1am and 5.30am and get up and play for 2 hours one lol, he soon changed his mind lol, I meant to ask before can I use a mothercare gift card online?

Alice didn't talk loads until around when she turned two. She was definitely behind "average" at that point but there is a huge range so she wasn't wildly out or anything. Once she started talking she just zoomed away though. Now when you go to get her up in the morning she just starts talking constantly and you can hardly get a word in edgeways. The way I understand it, as long as they can babble and seem to understand things, it's not too important whether they're actually saying words.

Kindof- Henry has always been between the 75th and 91st centiles, and is just about 20lb now at six months, if that helps! I bought the Britax First Class Plus this week using this code https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2447225 making it £88 with about £8 back in Boots points and free delivery.
