Aw MacSmiler - these things happen. Just remember that none of our first memories were the time that our mother left us to cry...she won't even remember in the morning.
Shall find you the post about what I have been doing - Benjamin just wouldn't let me leave the room without kicking off but he wouldn't go to sleep whilst I was in there.

Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Rmac the first night is always the worst with CC, if you stick to it then she wil know the rules and the routine that is set. can you manage to get the sick things out with out having to disturb her?
Babies here had a late nap so we have them up a little later, hopefully they will have a lie in tomorrow as the light mornings seem to be making them wake early!!
stupid question: can you catch chicken pox from shingles or is it one from one and the other from the other IYKWIM? My sister has phoned to say she thinks she has shingles and we were with her all yesterday morning. What's for you won't go past you0 -

Hi all, finally caught up!! Shouldve made notes as my memory is shocking.
GISI - Cool about taking H to the swings, are they like baby swings? Soz if I am asking something really dur-ey here but I think T would love to have a go on a swing.
Kindof - We have just ordered the maxi cosi axiss from boots.com as they had 20% off.
Well got T weighed today, he is now 19lb 4ozThen went round my mum and dads and got waited on!! For the first time in ages, T fell asleep in my arms and it was lovely sitting quietly with him for like a good hour, got mum to take a pic on my phone hehe!! Wonder if he is a bit under the weather (teething?) as he would never normally do that.
Rmac - Hope ur ok, well done for sticking at it.

rmac - Well done, stay strong, although I know it is hard....I am very much a CC'er. I have done it with all my 3, and will with the next one too, I bet none of them remember it:) I think I have gotten stricter with each subsequent baby though. Poor baby 4, doesn't know what it's getting into here;)Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
thanks ladies - MFD that's a good read. I'm going to stick with cc for at least 4 days to see how we get on, bt if no progress then we'll definitely try your ideas.
caz - thanks. I've managed to change her sheet without waking her and wipe up the floor too. Just all those fluffy toys to wash - oh great!
Shes responded well and the couple of books I've read on teh subject suggest her reaction and being sick are 'normal' - she does tend to do that to get her own way (already - I know it's awful!) so we'll persevere and see. I do know its not for everyone - as I said earlier this is last resort after 15 months of no sleep for me (look at my trying to justify my actions!) anyways. when your this tired you'll give most suggestions a go.
thanks for all your support - I'm off for a well earned bath myself. Thanks again xxxxr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
stupid question: can you catch chicken pox from shingles or is it one from one and the other from the other IYKWIM? My sister has phoned to say she thinks she has shingles and we were with her all yesterday morning. The skin blisters that form in shingles are full of the chickenpox virus, which means a person with shingles is infectious. You can catch chickenpox from someone with shingles, if you've never had the infection and therefore aren't immune. But you can't catch shingles from someone with shingles (or someone with chickenpox).Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5
