Did you and Mrs B make a decision to call (ahem) 'it' a 'peh-nus'? I am guessing that these discussions will need to take place at some point in MFD towers and I was wondering if you would share your reasoning. Now I bet you didn't think you would be talking anatomy with a curvy blonde at this time in the morning did you
:rotfl:
I don't think we really made a decision per se; at the early pointing-and-naming stages it didn't occur to us to use some alternative, and now the word is in his vocabulary
I don't think it's a bad thing myself though. As Tia says, when he gets to the stage of school playground chat the slang words will fly around regardless, but outside of that I don't see the benefit in a potentially slightly-confusing "non-word" being in use when there's a perfectly reasonable, non-swear, word availableif that makes sense. Dunno if it did.
And thank you for my opportunity0 -

I only use peepee because otherwise I would be shouting 'Stop playing with your penis!' several times a day.
And we all know what it's called in Becles house!
Is there a man alive who doesn't check it's still there several times a day? lol!0 -
well done on the job Fizio'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

Thanks Bruno and everyone.
I don't see anything wrong with it at all...but used inappropriately in shops or polite company it may make people blush 'My peh-nus is itchy daddy' or 'Ooo look mummy, that man has a big peh-nus' or 'My daddy shakes his peh-nus when he has a wee-wee' etc.
Saying a childish word makes it easier I guess in some situations.
I like Tia's idea of a baby word and then a big boy word for when they go to school or whatever.
My current word of choice is 'widgey'please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
