  • And very cute it is too Jillie :D

I got to the CM this morning and there was a massive (and I mean MASSIVE) 'thing' in her garden wrapped in cardboard. It is at least a couple of metres tall. The CM laughed and said it is a half-built climbing wall :T:T Her and hubby were trying to build it overnight to surprise the kids but it was so cold at 10pm that they gave up. I swear her garden is more toys than garden!! They have swings, a see-saw, a slide, 2 tents, a plastic house thing, a sandpit, numerous bikes etc, a picnic table and now a humungous climbing wall!!

She is also having another little boy coming on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon so Benjamin will have a bigger boy to play with (he is 4) - he is a bit overrun by girls wherever we go, all my friends have girls and the CM has girls.

Morning all - still got a nose that is running like a tap and Benjamin decided that 5.20am was the time to wake up...I gave in and brought him in with us because he was sobbing and moaning 'mooooooooooooooooommmmmeeeeeeeeeeee'. So he lay there with me quietly for an hour and then promptly fell asleep with his daddy as soon as I got up for work *rolleyes*

Well, I went into work yesterday and spoke to my new boss, so I definitely have a new job. He is happy for me to come and go as I please as long as my 28 hours are covered (although I can do less and more the following week etc as on flexi time). Any meetings etc, they will work around me, even though I insisted that I am flexible and can come in whenever they need me. Soooo, result!! Just need to sort out childminder now. Also I mentioned about being involved in the recruitment of the staff I will have under me, so he agreed I could come in and work KIT days to interview for them!

What fantastic news! :T Am so pleased for you.

Although there is another job in the dept on a higher grade so going to apply for that anyway.

LOL - have cake and eat it!!!

  • Hi Bruno - I was thinking of you this morning ;) (actually - it gets worse :o)

Did you and Mrs B make a decision to call (ahem) 'it' a 'peh-nus'? I am guessing that these discussions will need to take place at some point in MFD towers and I was wondering if you would share your reasoning.

:D Now I bet you didn't think you would be talking anatomy with a curvy blonde at this time in the morning did you ;) :rotfl:

    Fantastic news Fitz!

Gorgeous picture Jillie, he looks like such a grown up boy!

Sorry about your runny nose MFD, mine's at it too but I don't have to go to work today (hurrah for German religious holidays!). I had a list, and it had 12 items on it. My lists almost always have 12 items on them, I'm a bit OCD that way. But Husband wrote "remember I love you" on the bottom of it, so now it has 13 items on it and I have to add more to make a nice round number.

That sounds great about work Fitz :) make hay while the sun shines...!

Very scary these stories of falling down stairs and unexplained lumps in necks :( we feel so lucky that so far (despite E really being rough!) we haven't even had an accident trip to A&E...

In the mornings as I head out I drop him into bed with OH and close the door, usually he BFs (although slightly reduced 'need' nowadays) then he gets active and eventually OH surrenders and gets up with him :p

This morning she wrote to me to say, after milk he got up, dragged her dressing-gown off the door, carried it over to the bed and draped it over her head and shouted "BAT ROBE...ON!" before running to the door and drumming on it with both hands continually til she got up :p

It's a peepee in this house till your 5, then it's a penis. And when your 8 its a willy to you and your mates but you don't let mum know.

And also slugs are the peepee's of little boys who pulled at them too much and they fell off (ok, not even Chris believes this, but I have to say something!).

I need toast. And more coffee. And to move that stinky nappy I left in the kitchen....

I know!! But I did make it clear to him that I was interested in the other job too, so he said he would encourage me to go for it and if I got the other one, they will just advertise my job and should get quite a bit of interest in it and be able to fill it.

Anyway off for a shower before the little lady wakes up again and then we are off to Baby Sensory and lunch with friends.

    Have a nice day everyone!

    Oh To Be 12 Again...
A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife, looking at herself in the mirror.
Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have for her Birthday.
'I'd like to be twelve again', she replied, still looking in the mirror.
On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Coco Pops,
and then took her to Alton Towers theme park.
    What a day!
He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Corkscrew, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster, everything there was.
Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park.
Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down.
He then took her to a Mc Donald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake.
Then it was off to the cinema with popcorn, a huge Cola, and her favourite sweets......M&M's.
    What a fabulous adventure!
Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted.
He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked,

'Well Dear, what was it like being twelve again?'
Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed.

'I meant my dress size, you retard!!!!'

The moral of the story: Even when a man is listening, he is gonna get it wrong.
