    workinmummy - gorgeous pics :)
glam - good that your hubby now knows how hard you work! Hope he appreciates you more now :D

We're a pampers household here too: also active fit during the day and the baby dry for nighttime.

I'm not happy - I can't find my voucher for my 6 month bounty bag :( Is there a time limit to collect them? I want to go and get mine from sainsburys because as far as I remember you get a £5 voucher of their clothes and I saw some gorgeous things there last week.

Speaking of which, has anyone actually been offered the Swine Flu jab for their children?

We were offered it for J in school about 8 months ago as they were doing the special needs children first (after pregnant ladies/elderly), then we got a invite for V's in January, same as Buttons, to phone to accept or decline - I didn't phone so i'm guessing they'll take that as a decline.

(I'm guessing they offered around the special schools first as a lot of children at Joes school have health problems where swine flu would have been very serious for them. As Joe doesn't have any health problems we declined).

I have been productive - i've cleared out the shed, removed the cars stickarounds from Joes walls and filled in holes in the walls. I'm just about to do the gloss painting, and will do the other painting tomorrow. :D

  • Glam - yay for OH realising that you don't sit doing nowt all day! Your other sentence reads like OH won't let you go out unless you have cleaned the house first...which I am sure is not the case ;)

Re: Jabs - we get an automated notification telling us to book an appointment in a particular week. Ours is only a small surgery though and they are pretty accomodating mostly.

    Aw - Joe's a handsome chappy too!!

Only stay at the doctors because work, Joe's school and home are in less than a 5 min radius. That was really handy last year, before OH moved jobs and he used the car to drive to Manchester and I was left walking . Now he gets the bus to the town center and I have the car :D. Really should get my !!! into gear and move. OH stayed at our old doctors, when we moved. It is fab, ring up, "can i have an appointment please?". "yes, can you come in in half an hour". And the doctors and practice nurse are all lovely too.)

your doctors is shocking, very like my old one!! theyd have no appointments for 7 days, then say they dont book appointments more than 7 days in advance, how does that help

my new one is much better, you ring in the morning and the policy is they HAVE to see you that day, and they have 2 hours every afternoon for babies/children to be seen, they can go anytime but i think thats like a drop in, after school and stuff

MFD and anyone else who does it, can I ask why do you use active fit nappies? I've always just used baby dry because they are cheaper (and Chris is allergic to them but I only found that out when mum bought some)

Same reason as MFD...see below butI agree baby dry tend to be cheaper than active fit
I use Active Fit because they are much thinner in the gusset area - which makes it easier for baby to move around. However, they are not as big so not as absorbent so we have Baby Dry at night (when I don't want him moving around too much anyway LOL). He walks (in the words of 3) like he has just got off a big horse in his nighttime nappy.

Boots were extremely helpful, finding me the last 2 packs of Size 5's in stock...even though they needed to get the stepladders out to get them down - and then the lovely lady on the pharmacy went and got me some vouchers from the machine and saved me an extra £5 :money:

And you moaned about me sending you there:D

I am very much hoping so (otherwise Krystal will kill me)

Now Benjamin has his jabs on Tuesday I need to juggle a few things to make it happen because I won't be able to have 2 days off together. I am trying to get hubby to take him for his jabs, but he is is Newcastle the night before so it means he has to be back to pick Benjamin up from the CM at 11.30am. Then I either need Benjamin to go back to CM, stay with daddy all day or get MIL to take him for the afternoon.

He has been fine after every other jab but I hear the MMR is the worst of them all...MIL may be the best option with daddy and me 'on call' if he is a little bit poorly or upset.

I feel a bit sad that it might not be me taking him though...although when I mooted the idea with hubby he seemed quite chuffed that I asked him!!

    Yes :D
Unless for some unknown reason I can't drive but seen as I feel tons better today I am pretty sure I will be able to!

We have an extra creche session Tuesday morning where I will stay with him and then he's going 7.30am til 2pm Thursday & Friday ON HIS OWN

Tried contacing my new boss yesterday but she never rang back. I'm starting in less than 2 weeks and wanted to at least touch base with her! Might try her again now
