Hmmm I can foresee running into a bit of a dilemma...
Going to the USA in July for my sister's wedding. Future BIL has a 6 yo son who he has custody of but gets lots of help raising from his mom, etc., so they are very used to the idea of babysitters and just being able to drop him off whenever it suits. Sis has made loads of mentions about various activities she wants to get up to while we're there, clearly thinking that we can just leave Finn with the mom or another similar babysitter...
Now I don't have a problem with babysitters (I mean, trust-wise), I just don't think he can be left for any length of time (and especially not at night)...but am I being silly? I feel like I don't have a problem leaving him but I'm worried he'll freak out and make hell for whoever's looking after him. Or is this normal to think that??
eta: because we've never left him before...or rather, the 1 time I did for 3 hrs it went very badly for all involved.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

It's going to annoy me all night now(that restaurant name), although there is a good chance it doesn't even exist anymore, as it was a few years ago I went!!!
Kids are all in bed.....I think I will have a little read, I am nearly at the end of book 5, of the 'True Blood' books that I got just before I went away. I will need some more recommendations for reading material very soon:) I do have Milton's Paradise Lost to read yet and Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment also waiting in the wings, but I am quite enjoying some light reading for now!!

Reckon there should be a used OH's scrap yard, how about Iceland. :rotfl:
Don't think a referendum would be needed on that one. Majority would agree in an instant.
Have no idea what his problem is and can't be arsed to even ask. Started last night, was fine, then turned arsey for no apparent reason. I swear he has worse pmt than me. He is so going to get it next week, when mine kicks in. I usually take myself out of the way, but may just have to be as !!!!!! as I can for as long as I can.
Alex been in bed since 7. Joe in bed now, and his arsey-ness had just boogered off upstairs without a word. So it's me the dogs, telly and the laptop. Heaven :rotfl:0 -
Hello all,
I'm needing a little reassurance that I haven't just been a terrible mummyWhen we were having dinner, Elena was really interested in our food, so I gave her 4 tiny bits of carrot from it which she loved. What I forgot until afterwards was that the carrots had been cooked in white wine! Please someone tell me that the alcohol would be cooked out of it and it won't harm her please
