I was thinking before about the career discussion and id mentioned i wanted to do either teaching or teaching assistant because i do think i would love it, but then i realised if i was a teacher I would never be able to drop my own kids at school or pick them up, miss all the assemblies and xmas plays ect, im not sure im willing to make that sacrifice tbh, i know it might sound weird but i think i would be happier in a less 'pressure' job where you could book a day off when needed ect,, i dont know, i'll probably end up with an office job again, ah got some thinking to do!!
xI went to the school my mum worked/s at (good school) but some of the teacher's kids go to other schools and if they're not doing evening performances of plays they're usually allowed to re jig their PPA time so they can go and watch

kindof, just had a look at that asda baby thing, it says your baby has to be at least 3 months old so E wont qualify yet
, is it a comp where people vote, i dont like them really, its all about who has the most friends/family to vote, or like one of my fb friends who entered her kid for the next comp i think it was used to update her status with the link every 2 minutes and make people feel bad if they hadnt voted that day, ggrr,

You can still do those things and be a teacher!

suppose it would be good if you ended up teaching at the same school your kids went to! aw thats good to know thanks, i'll have to have a good think about it, x0 -
If lying on the mother is the most natural position, don't suppose it would matter if they were on their sides on a mattress or their back on a mattress from a natural point of view. Both would be equally unnatural then0
-
on their side they can curl up into the foetal position
LOL - because every baby favours the foetal position!!!
There is no such thing as a 'natural' or 'unnatural' postion for a baby to be in - every baby is completely different.
And FWIW, Benjamin has very, very rarely fallen asleep in my arms or on me in any way. He has never been comfortable sleeping close to anybody or on anybody. I don't think that makes him unnatural!! I think it is just his way.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Hi SM glad to see you back. I did work experience in an office when I was 16 and decided then to be a QS, luckily a local firm wrote to my school and I ended up getting a job there at 18. Have basically been there for last 20 years bar 5 when I was made redundant and did temping at few other firms.. went back 13yrs ago and still love it... never normally in one place for more than 18months. have now progressed to doing a job that no-one else could do so 'created' the position for myself really..
Krystal - big hugs for your nephew.Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -

Can he do one of those return to learn maths courses at college? My Dad used to teach on one of those and he loved it as it was all adults willing to learn and they all helped each other out. He liked it much better than his full time job in a rough school trying to control teenagers who didn't want to be there!Hmm, David Cameron isn't doing very well in his interview!
He did better in this one:

I'm 34 and I still haven't really decided
Worked in laboratories when I left school and loved it, and was keen to do further study in biochemistry, but I married and the child urge was too strong so I had Josh and then James.
Temped in office/admin work while they were tiny which was ok, but I had to leave to be a full time Mammy when James was 2. He was critically ill with pneumonia and I wanted to be home with him.
Ex left shortly afterwards and I ended up as a receptionist as that is the first job I got out of loads I applied for covering everying. I hated being a receptionist though.
Started doing a bit of mystery shopping and merchandising on the side, and realised I liked that a lot more, so took the risk of giving up the receptionist job to do that.
Been doing that since as it fits in well round the bairns. I like the flexibility and working from home and I enjoy the actual work most of the time.
Loved studying but not really sure what I want to do next. Planning on sticking with current job until Charlotte goes into full time school (Sept 2011) and then deciding what to do.
I knew I wanted to be a Mam from a very young age, and I love that jobKrystaltips wrote: »Just off the phone to my Mum actually... Hmm...
It's in his lymph nodes, not in his lungs or bone marrow... 10 weeks of chemo on a 3day 1day cycle... Tumour may be removed in about 12 months... No plans to remove his arm...
Bless him! Sending lots of love and positive vibes to help him get through this xxHere I go again on my own....0 -
