Aw Glam - what a scare. Glad Jack is okay. FWIW I think that cots make an awful noise when they bang their heads (or kick them or whatever) seems to reverberate around the whole cot, but they also seem to have a rubber effect (ours does anyway) and we never get a mark!!
You did well to go to the hospital and be back within a couple of hours on a Bank Holiday Monday, I would have expected to be sat amongst the drunks for hours.please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Oh no MFD, that's a bit scary
...! At least you pushed him to the docs, even if you didn't think it was anything much. GB syndrome is not great - hope it turns out to be a scare and not the real thing, or that it's been caught early. Fingers crossed. Please keep us updated when you aren't too busy

Do you know anything about it? I have googled slightly but daren't look too far...
He had numb legs and arms yesterday and I said something along the lines of 'you can walk and pick the baby up, there is nothing wrong with you'
What a caring wife I am
It's a good job he loves me :rotfl: please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Oh eff - just googled a little more and it is on the same pages as strokes...his dad had 2 or 3 strokes and died when he was in his early 50s. Am very scared and crying now.

Try not to worry too much until you have a firm diagnosis. Hopefully he just has an icky bug or something equally innocuous. Aww, MFD, Hugs for you and hubby.

Don't google. Let us google and select the useful info for you.
Has it come on suddenly, or has he been moaning for a while?
(And I think we're all guilty of thinking they're being dramatic at times
) :beer:0 -
MFD if he walked into the hospital by himself chances are excellent that it is something else or that he will be eminently and speedily treatable.
Numbness, tingling and the weird rubber legs feeling are all very early stage symptoms. It's going to suck for him because he'll probably have a lumbar puncture and a couple of other invasive and nasty tests but it sounds like they have him very early. Try not to worry xxx
Edit: You have my phone number if you need anything (even just reassuring medical type noises - we work with rehabilitation patients sometimes so I'm a bit familiar with the progression), but I'll be incommunicado between 3 and 5 your time.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

He had Monday off work last week with a cold. Then went to work on Tuesday and was completely zonked in the evening, then he has been unusually tired, managed to go out on the lash on Friday *rolleyes* and then has moaned all weekend, getting worse and more moany as time went on.
He was in bed by 10.30pm last night which is SO unlike him.MFD if he walked into the hospital by himself chances are excellent that it is something else or that he will be eminently and speedily treatable.

Thank you so much SS.
Yup - rubber legs was a term he used....along with dizzy spells as we went around Sainsburys yesterday - do you think my 'it's a good job you are pushing the trolley then' comment was helpful :rotfl::rotfl:
It was then that his arms started and then I made him go to the party with me and laughed when he said standing up for a couple of hours had worn him out
My assistant is laughing at my eternal tact and diplomacy.please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman
