awwww, sm, how long is he gone for? You sound like my DH when he's away from me!

Is it possible my baby hates sleeping bags?? We've been without swaddling for about 4 nights now, but in sleeping bag the last 2 which have been terrible. Wondering now if it's coincidence as part of swaddle weaning or he has some aversion to them? Nt too hot or cold. :o search me, this kid confuses me :(

How warm is the nursery Aless? David hasn't slept in a sleeping bag for weeks as it has been way too warm.He just sleeps in a vest or a sleepsuit...... I am not the best person to give advice on baby sleep though...... having said that David went from 6.30 - 4.30 with just 1 wake last night :j. Unfortunately, I was wide awake from 10.30 - 3.00 :(

    Hugs SM :(

Would someone like to come and do my job for me?? I have been here for 30mins already had a LARGE coffee from starbucks to try and keep me awake and it's failing :(

A mixture of hayfever, aches, Daniel up at stupid o'clock due to his back teeth coming through are making me feel like a little old lady today.

Alfie hasn't been sleeping in his sleeping bags for a while either, just a sleepsuit.

Busy day today baking. Making some teacher and graduation themed cupcakes which should be fun.

Off to get ready now as picking my grandma up in 20 minutes.

Will be on later for the hen night, if not before :)

It's not actually that warm in there - my cheapie paper thermometer thingee says usually around 22ish (it stays quite cool as there's only 1 window that never gets direct sun). The thing is, until a few days ago, he used to be swaddled in a flanelette sheet and then placed under another sheet in the cot, which I think feels heavier than the 1 tog sleeping bag...so he's used to heat being around his body IYSWIM. If he kicks off again today, I may have to just abandon the sleeping bags (which were still in their wrappers until last week...was trying to get my money's worth before he outgrew them :o). Oh and he's in just a vest as far as clothing goes...

    Go David!! :j:j:j

Aless, out of curiousity, did swaddling Finn when he started rolling worry you? I stopped swaddling David a long time ago - when he started rolling - as I worried about him rolling on to his face and not being able to push himself back over with his hands :o

    Morning,

I had a rubbish night. Holly slept well. Went down at 8.30pm with no protestations and slept until 7am. I was up most of the night though. Couldn’t get to sleep for feeling sick and ended up having to make myself sick. I made hubby get up with H at 7 before he got ready for work so I could steal an extra half hour. I still feel sick now though. I could do with a relaxing day of napping and watching tennis, but I have friends coming for dinner tomorrow so have lots to do. I suppose I could do stuff in the house like cleaning  today so I can watch the tennis, and go to the shops in the evening for ingredients and make dessert tonight.

We still use a 1 tog sleeping bag, with just a vest underneath, but we probably aren’t as hot as you all have it. It’s about 23 degrees in the nursery most nights (although did go up to 25 when it was at it’s hottest).

Aless – are you trying to make Finn nap at particular times? If so, maybe he is just not a routine baby and you could try relaxing the routine a bit and letting him guide you? You have probably tried everything though so I’m just clutching at straws! I really do feel for you.
I honestly think if Holly was a really bad sleeper, I wouldn’t consider having any more. I just don’t have the patience. You, Hammy and WM do very well considering your lack of sleep.

And well done again to Squishy for making Tara’s card! I am sure you did a lovely job. It was very thoughtful. x
