No Fitzio, you're not offending at all! :D I just didn't want you to feel like you had to give me advice (like I was asking for it?). Oh that sounds silly, doesn't it? :)

Yes well aware some babies sleep better with more naps, some sleep worse. It's so hard finding middle ground! Same here...if he gets TOO much in the day, he's up all hours - but definitely if he doesn't get enough, it's just as bad.

MFD, I have a friend with a baby around Benjamin's age that also sleeps that much...I think it's because he never stops moving when he's awake! :D

That's Benjamin all over! He hasn't stayed still since he started crawling at 5 1/2 months!

Sleep is the hardest bit about parenting IMHO - it seems to be what most people struggle with.

When they are teenagers we will be moaning that we can't get them up in the morning!

Aless - Liam was the same. We swaddled past 6 months (He did roll when swaddled) and we gradually got him used to blankets - I think he liked the weight/feeling secure, just like me - and then the sleeping bag. I don't really remember how we did it, I think it just clicked on day.

And on napping - Liam hardly sleeps during the day, maybe two 1/2 naps if I'm lucky, and has between 11/12 hours at night. He only has longer daytime naps if he had a bad night

Sorry Fitz - I have to disagree with you on the daytime naps. Benjamin sleeps better at night if he has napped well during the day and always has done - quite often people on here say that the more a baby sleeps the better they sleep.

As Benjamin got older he started to nap for longer times during the day - he can easily have 3 or 4 hours during the day and then sleep 12 or 13 at night.

This is like Jack although we do get wake ups for a bottle but that's it. Still has between 2-4hours naptime during the day and it's just like Benjamin because Jack is constantly on the move when he's awake, I swear that child can not sit still!!!!

Tara - so glad Squishys card arrived.

Think a big :T:T to Squishy for the idea, making it, getting all the messages and getting the address off MM.

My baby has a cut under his eye and will probably have a black eye :( He was tired and flinging himself round last night, I'd taken him out the highchair and popped him on the floor, he threw himself back and I caught him but he lunged to the side and caught his eye on the footrest of the highchair. I'm so upset especially because OH is blaming me for not watching him, OH doesn't believe that accidents can happen (even though an hour later J bumped his head whilst playing with OH but it was my fault for not watching them!):mad:

It resulted in a huge row because rather than allowing me to put a cold compress on Jack OH snatched him off me and was making me feel even worse! :(:(:(:(:(

So, me and OH are not talking and I doubt very much we will be any time soon. The little fluckwit then rang his mum and told her I was kicking off because I didn't want her and FIL to come next weekend! When I have no problems with them coming up. I'm so annoyed

We love you Squishy :A thank you.

I swear your OH has PMT Glam  what an idiot he is being (and hate to say it but...) again. He seems to be lovely most of the time and then once a month he needs a slap.

    IMHO of course ;)

If he was there why wasn't he watching Jack? Does he not know that you would already be upset without him being a !!!!?

Not suggesting for a second that you are at fault...just that we parents naturally get upset when our babies get hurt.

When I said "sleeps less", I actually meant fewer naps (just to clarify!). All babies are different of course, but I am just suggesting that if one is having problems sleeping at night and is having 4 naps per day or something like that, it might be an idea to try and reduce the amount of naps. I am not saying that babies don't need much sleep during the day, just that as they get older, they tend to have less naps during the day. Just making a suggestion, that's all. :)

Tara, awwwww u'll have to take a photo so we can see the pretty card squishy made :)

Improved night here, so far. Hopefully he'll go back down effortlessly and sleep til morning...in an ideal world!! :p

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa. No, i've mentioned a couple of my girls Birthdays lately and had no response, so I didn't 'announce' this. Maybe I should have bolded or something. Is bolded even a word? :rotfl:

Hope your little fella starts sleeping longer soon. No/little sleep isn't much fun and it feels like the following day is ruined as you are all zombiefied. Well, at least I am.
