eBay question:
I bought something (a zoggs swim ring) on Sat 19th June, 7pm. Paid straight away. I've had no communication and no item, on Sat 26th i sent an email asking when can i expect to receive it... No reply. Should i be more patient or open a dispute?
Also bought a bath seat Sun 20th, sent email on 26th and they replied 28th saying they'd had a flood so had to move premises. Taking the pee IMO, still could have emailed me.0 -

Although I don't get travel sick as a rule... Just morning / afternoon / evening sick...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... If you are a named driver then you are named on the insurance policy to drive that car regardless of whether you drive it once a day or once a year.
*removed!* the rest!

If you state something at the time of obtaining insurance which is not true, or ceases to be true and you don't inform the insurance company then you may well find that your policy is negated. Which effectively means you are driving uninsuredplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120

Insuring a Car in your Parents Name and having you as a Named Driver
This is a common trick used among new and inexperienced drivers to bring down their insurance quotes. A few years back this was very popular, however nowadays the insurance companies have cottoned on and sometimes it doesn't work out as planned.
In this case you insure your car in your parents name so that the insurance policy isn't in your name. You then get them you add you as a named driver. Although technically this is legal, if you are the main driver of the car you could be found out and have your insurance voided.
The reason insurance works out cheaper this way is the main risk is based on your parent who is a lower risk to insurance companies than you are. We do not recommend this technique as you could end up having you insurance cancelled, the other downfall is that you don't accumulate any no claims bonus as it is in your parents name

Sorry to harp on but I don't see how a named driver can be uninsured.
Oh hang on, are you saying that if the main driver was no longer the main driver the insurance would be invalid?A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Well the doctors was RUBBISH! Slowest doctor in the world, 20 minutes for her to get my prescription for the pill (a new kind) !!!!!!?! I was also wanting (well demanding) her to prescribe me some sort of magic hair potion to rub on my scalp and stimulate hair growth, so I've had to make another app with her because she is SO slow and SO dull and SO rubbish.
Oh Idris sat his driving test the other week and failed, he kept driving too fast, he passed everything else, just seems to have a boy racer mentality, though to be fair, it was like going 31mph in a 30mph area, and the dude had a "funny english accent" so he couldnt understand what he was saying - OH - and he was apparently dead fat so his @ss was spewing onto the gear stick making things more difficult, so really he should of passed because the bum was preventing him changing gears.0 -

Yes - if the main driver never drives the car then he is not the main driver...
Even if he drives the car 49% of the time he is not the main driver...(in theory at least - it would be hard to prove that it wasn't 51% that he spent driving it but you get my drift?)please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120
