Sorry EA but the solution to this problem is not to make it quieter for Lily, it is to make it noisier so she gets used to it. If you constantly tiptoe around her whilst she sleeps then she gets used to the quiet, if she is used to a noiser environment it will be easier all round....especially if you are looking to have another.

Background noise is good because it means that sudden noises don't wake them.

My opinion only.

Becles, that sounds exactly the same as I was. Same wages, I had to pay the mortgage on my own as Ex was (and still is) an !!!!, and I earned too much for CT benefit!

It's a strange situation, being skint, but not skint enough for help!


Right, i'm off out for a walk now that the rain has stopped and the summer has returned.

ETA again, EA I think MFD is right - get her used to sleeping with some noise. I remember the time when I had to hoover to get V to nap (or just leave the hoover on while I sat down with a cuppa and cake).

Caz I say drive too but only because I do that train journey often and I hate it Well it's good if you go into 1st class but that's a bit expensive, but I rode 1st class down last time (it was cheaper than economy) and it was fabulous.

How cheap are your tickets btw! I can't get it for £19, flipping Aberdeen and it's victorian train lines.
