    Caz

Just looked at the Premier Inn near the TC that used to be a Tulip (still very nice rooms I'm told) but it's coming up at £66.

    http://www.premierinn.com/en/checkHotelAvailability!execute.action

You want to be city centre, near TC or elsewhere? Will try and have a look later when C in bed (if she sleeps long enough - last night was not good lol)

    xxx

ETA I may also be available for pick ups/lifts but will have to see next week what the plan is. I have a spare car seat and prob room for two prams xxx

ETA2 Link doesn't work. Look at Trafford Centre West xxx

  • Can you effing believe it. Big day, big meeting, big effing bomb scare at our office!!! We all got evacuated to the car park!!!

Tried to continue meeting in local hotel but it is tough talking numbers at the best of times. They have asked us to put our proposals on paper and they will 'do their best' to come to a decision by the end of the week :(

My life is a big joke.

It really annoys me that WTC disqualifies you because it means they are penalising you for actually earning your money. It works out that people with a higher income than us could qualify as long as they weren't actually working for their money. (I disagree with a lot of the way the system works but this one seems particularly strange.)

That annoyed me too. When I was a single mother, I had just under £10K coming in from wages and tax credits. I wasn't entitled to housing benefit as I was in the marital home, and I had to pay all the mortgage costs as he refused to pay it. I didn't claim council tax benefit as I didn't know about it.

Things like free school dinners would have really helped me out, but I didn't get any help like that simply because I was working and claiming WTC.

It would be much fairer to have a fixed level and anyone with a household income under that gets help, regardless of if their income is benefits, wages or a mix of both.

Good luck MFD - hope you get something sorted.

Beenie - pleased Susan is going to be with you tomorrow. She's lovely :)

Love the picture of Harvey in a t-shirt! I might try that as Jack is really not keen on his collar, and I've got bruised legs now as he keeps banging it off them :rotfl:He's back to his normal self now and the wound looks nice and clean and the swelling has gone down a lot.

Susan - hope Alice feels better soon. Coughs have got to be one of the most irritating things to catch.
Here I go again on my own....
