*wanders in looking refreshed* Do you remember I said everyone would know when Celia finally slept through well:
Last night at the grand old age of one year, nine months and four days Celia SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT for the first time ever! (7.45 - 6.45!)
:T Well done Celia!
Good sleep for Caitlyn too, good girl
Good night here also so I feel refreshed too today. Don't have to be out early to the hospital with grandma today either. There was a discrepancy with some measurements on the mask so she had to have another scan yesterday, dr is checking it all today then back tomorrow. It really annoys me that WTC disqualifies you because it means they are penalising you for actually earning your money. It works out that people with a higher income than us could qualify as long as they weren't actually working for their money. (I disagree with a lot of the way the system works but this one seems particularly strange.)
Yes that does seem strange. I think it will be a good thing if this government can sort out the benefits system. I'm absolutely all for helping people who need it, but don't see why so many people get money they don't need or aren't really entitled to.
Still raining here which is a shame as DH is away all day visiting a friend and is taking the car. Not sure if i want to go out in the rain but don't want to be stuck in the house all day either.0 -
I have formula fed Jack from very young and it was the best thing I did!
I know my situation is different but trying so hard to BF and then expressing took such a toll on the first few days and resulted in Jack being admitted for feeding problemsIf I could go back then I would just FF from the minute he was born.
Future babes will be FF straightaway so I don't have the worry
I am a proud FF!:D:D:D
Is it bad that I've almost decided on next one's name????:o
James Tyler or Joshua Tyler - not that OH knows!!
Beenie - definitely take Susan up on the offer
!!!!!!!g work have paid me the bottom of the band  I'm a band 6 and each band has pay points, I'm about 4 points up but I've lost £100 this month due to their mistake. Little fluckers! Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Ladies (and man!) I could do with some advice on getting a young baby to nap. Night time is fab - he goes to sleep at 8.45 (bedtime routine starts at 7.15 with a loooong bath and then boob) sleeps till 3/4 is up for approx 45mins - 1 hour feeding (should be less but I usually dose off and wake up to find him asleep with his head on my boob lol) then goes back down until 7-7.30am.
He just will not nap through the day unless he falls asleep on me after a feed (wakes if I try to move him) or goes out in the pram, inwhich case he'll sleep the whole time we're out. I thought part of the problem might be that it's too bright and loud in the living room now that he's older so I've left his basket upstairs. I put him in it and tucked him in then came down (like I do at bedtime) He whinged for a bit but then just got louder and louder so after 10 mins I went to get him. There were no tears, just whinging . I cuddled him to calm him down then put him in his swing. This seemed to be doing the trick but I could see him fighting it, eventually he started whinging again. I turned it off and sat on the floor and pushed it myself (like I did yesterday when it had no batteries) and he was asleep in less than a minute! He's obviously tired and needs the nap but now I'm stuck downstairs with the swing when all my jobs are upstairs! Also I don't really want to be reliant on swinging to get to sleep. Any advice/tips on what you did with yours?Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Forgot what I was going to say.
Big meeting here at 10am - my year of work-related trauma may be over today....although that could well end up with me out of a job in 3 months time, I wouldn't even care about that at this point, I just want it to be over.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Glam I'm no expert but if you have a letter from HR with a starting salaray on I'm absolutely sure they have to honour it!
Meant to say earlier, Becles, looks like you live in a lovely part of the world!0 -

I have my next baby's name picked out too! Daniel Simon (feel like I have to have Simon as it's FIL's name and we used my dad's name as Thomas's middle name) I would like Daniel James (my grandad's name) but I think he would get laughed at for being a DJ! Likewise DH doesn't know - I think he'd think I was crackers!
ETA after seeing it written down I don't like Daniel Simon lol....oh well guess I've got a few years to come up with something else
Hope you get your salary sorted
MFD - hope it goes ok for you and you get a definitive answer one way or otherMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Hope it goes well for you MFD. You sounded fed up in your post and I don't blame you.0

Good luck MFD, I hope whatever happens is the best thing for you and yours. Also, I called the Stokke people this morning and they're sending me a widget :j
YAY Celia!!!! This gives me hope - last night Molly slept all night in her cot for the first time, but we still had a 3am feed. Still, 9:30-3 and 3:30-7 is more than I was expecting when I optimistically put her down last night so I'm happy. AND we got to celebrate our new bed for the first tme
Susan, you're such a lovely person. I'm so touched that you'd go help Beenie.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

It's toddlers this morning and I was in 2 minds whether to go or not but since I just wheeled the maclaren through a dogs nest on the grass by next door's in a mission to get a wheely bin (might be mine, might not... Couldn't care less!) I think I'll go and try and walk it off... Much rather walk for half an hour than scrape dog !!!!!! off a pushchair wheel!
I've also had to leave it outside due to the stink and daren't leave it there too long, it's too pretty for the chav scum to resist robbing it...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
