JM, I can't believe how insensitive some people can be, I'm sorry the midwives were so hurtful. It's mostly about the baby, true, but not all about the baby - so many women have problems bonding with their new little ones because of the circumstances of the birth. I think I was lucky to have been so relieved she was ok that bonding wasn't a problem but I'm certainly very wobbly within myself as a result of it, and that Husband still doesn't get it despite it having been spelled out for him multiple times breaks my heart. It's like he's choosing not to get it because the way he acted during the whole horrible process contributed to the way I feel, so if he pretends it isn't a problem he doesn't have to feel responsible, you know?

Edit: GISI, was that they couldn't use the BB instead of the infant belt for takeoff and landing or couldn't use it at all? We have a long flight coming up and I really don't want to be sling-less for the whole thing!

Sugar.. they simply haven't a clue!! I ended up with post traumatic stress after DD3 and DD5 due to the incompetance of the hospital staff and their treatment of us. They actually said they wanted DD5 to die.. and sliced DD3's head open while perforating my bowel and bladder.. then expected me to be ok with that.. I was ill physically for 2.5 years after DD3 and ill mentally, possibly even now.. I still, 10 years later, do not feel comfortable with it.. I can't even speak about it at all..

After DD5 was born the MW asked 'are you happy now?' I was too upset and angry to even reply.. I just gave her the death stare.. actually no I am still not happy and I don't actually think I ever will be!

    Morning

Bruno, sorry things didn't turn out too well last night:( Hopefully you can last out and get a nice early night:)

K is upstairs napping, so is dh, the boys are sat here playing PS3, and I have a beatiful baby asleep on me, after drinking a huuge bottle and following up with a huuge poop! I went out for a little walk yesterday, maiden voyage with the double.....and.....I LOVE IT:D:D

No plans for today, just potter round the house and do a little bit of washing/sorting. MIL came yesterday, FIL coming tomorrow, midwife to do heel pr1ck on monday, and my friend is coming one day next week too, plus taking T for her hearing test on Friday. I am also undecided whether to take K tots group on Thursday, I suppose I will just see how I feel on the day?

    xx

***yawn*** Jamie woke at 5:30am and I'm very tired. I'm so glad that my inlaws have cancelled this afternoon. I can put up with my own family visiting as usual though ;)as they help look after the children instead of being waited on.

Hope you get some rest later, Bruno.

    Have a lovely weekend, MFD!

I haven't left P&J for two nights yet but I will in Aug when we go away for our anniv. My Mum and sisters are more than prepared to have them stay but its not often we go away so they babysit at our house.

Has anyone else signed up to mycitydeals/groupola/kgb? They often have have cut price restaurant deals and DH have I have been going out to lovely places more than before but within our budget.

    Hugs, SS x

    ETA: And for JM x

Hope you have a wonderful time, GISI!

    Morning all..

    *hugs* all round :o

Would anyone like to entertain a small shouty one year old with a fancy for pinching handfuls of cleavage in a painful fashion? No? Oh.. :( He knows where his nose is (will touch it if you ask), and now keeps pinching it so he can't breathe and his dummy shoots out his mouth then laughs  Not sure I'm keen on that habit! :o

I've got a huge to do list to be getting on with, nothing exciting going on here  OH at work until at least 1pm, potentially 3pm.

Hope everyone has a nice day xx

I see. I just thought it worth mentioning in case it was useful but I can see that it wouldn't particularly help you.

Tomorrow (27th) will be our 1 year BFP anniversary :D
I am so glad that I am not the only one to notice it - I bit my [STRIKE]tongue[/STRIKE] fingers and resisted the urge to tell her to keep her nose out!!!
Dont understand why she's almost critising her! She's not BF because she said it will be to hard to wean baby onto a bottle when she goes back to work. Also she cba.

    Anyway, hello all :)

Have someone else viewing our house at 1pm, just had a quick hoover and covered the nursery floor in carpet cleaner as DH got white paint on the red carpet

We're going to buy a fan today! :j:j I cant stand this heat anymore.

Interesting about the sling - I have a feeling it may have just been when they were sitting down? Or just that airline being picky.

I'm torn about the new toys thing, because he can be quite picky when it comes to toys, so may do a mix of new and old favorites. I'm more just worried about him napping/sleeping in an unfamiliar environment and worse-case scenario in our arms! - he won't do this at home! However, I suppose there's very little I can do about that. We're getting to the airport as early as humanly possible so as to try to get a bulkhead row (for our airline it's first-come-first-served).

Aless if your airline has the emergency exits at the bulkheads you won't be able to sit there with a little one. Make sure you get to seats away from the exits (including the front rows) - we watched a few families get turfed from them last weekend.

yeah, we want the non-emergency exit ones...DH is a plane nerd so knows the exact layout and exactly which seats he wants :p:cool:
