The kit is very grubby and there are some marks on it but the CM did a really good job of keeping Benjamin clean for the day (she covered him in a towel when he had cake and snacks at pre-school!!
I'm off to Sis's the morning and not sure I'll get on until we're back from edin so will 'see' you all soon :wave:0 -
Don't have the energy to moan properly but last night's early collapse for E (plus OH's nap) led to a terrible night and a busy day that's just not going to work... lesson learned
Morning all...! 0 -
Morning
Doesn't sound good Bruno. Hope today goes better than expected.
Up early and off to boot camp shortly. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Aww no Bruno, that's such a shame. Hope today isn't too hectic and you all have a better night tonight.
I don't have much on today. Tomorrow however my sister is having a bbq for her birthday then going out into town later. We are going to the bbq with Alfie then coming home at 7 to put him to bed and mum is coming to babysit while I go out. DH is out to Manchester as his brother's band is down playing their last ever gig. Should be a good day.0 -
oh dear bruno! Hope u have time for a little nap this afternoon?
Becles, i bet you've lost so much weight with all this boot camp business! Sounds fabulous.
Not much going on here today. I have to wait in in the afternoon as Virgin are coming to fix our telephone. Tomorrow it's off to the ILs for the day!
Srry the fairies still haven't flown - was going to get stamps yesterday but the stupid post office is upstairs in Smiths and i had the pushchair with me

Morning all. 7am start here - well Benjamin woke earlier but 7am was when his shouting became insistent LOL. You wait desperately for them to learn to say mummy and then wish they hadn't when they use it all the time!
We are only letting Benjamin have his dummy when he is sleepy now which is mostly going well. After a while of laying in bed with us this morning Benjamin decided he wanted to mess around so I said 'if you are playin then take your dummy out' so Benjamin took his dummy out pointed to the sky and made a plane noise!!! Methinks I need to annunciate correctly for my pedant of a child!
In the bath then I have til 2pm to sort out the house and pack before mil arrives and hubby and I are off to reading for TWO WHOLE NIGHTS! Excited and nervous at the same time! Have never left Benjamin for 2 nights.please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Unfortunately weekend schedule (and house layout) is such that my only extra sleep chance is tonight going to bed when the baby does, will have to last til then! Oh well, another nice day for it... going to a barbecue for lunch... better just OD on coffee!

Yes indeed - many mornings we are woken up by incessant "Mama! Dadden! Mama COMING! Mama coming
mama
" type sounds. Although this morning after his lack of solid food last night, it was a 5am crying and loud pleading for bessfuss (breakfast...).
I am very in awe of you and your power of leaving Benjamin for nights
not only do we have no-one we could realistically do that with, until recently he would have been hell on wheels re sleep/etc, and OH wouldn't tolerate it anyway. She's never left him for an evening, I've only been away 3 nights (all work) since he was born I think. 0 -
MFD have a lovely time!! Is MIL going to take away some washing along with Benjamin?! Too cute taking out his dummy to do plane noises!0

Thank you Bruno, I think!
My job involves overnighters every month or two so part of it is necessity. The other part is to make sure that as a couple who still haven't been together that long that we make an effort to retain some semblance of our life as a couple. Has only ever been for 1 night before though. We used to be running all over the place going to concerts and theatre and comedy gigs, now we go out about once a month.
I am quite tame compared to some mummies I know.
Horses for courses I guess *shrug*please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman
