Back from Matalan I could have spent 100's in there if i could afford it, they've got LOADS of lovely girl stuff.

I bought...

3 tshirts
2 pairs shorts
2 summer rompers
1 romper with hat set
2 pairs trousers
1 sunhat
7 vests

All for £30 I wanted all the cute little outfits but thought i better wait til my ebay stuff gets here so i can see what we've got, don't wanna go overboard, can't afford it

EA - we have a joint bank account. Works well for us, but others prefer to keep their money seperate.

Tia - Thats awful - I'd get onto Watchdog. Even if they didn't follow it up, just putting it out there would make me feel a bit better.

EA - DH and I have had a joint account since well before we were married. I know a lot of people nowadays don't like the idea of them but it works well for us and we have a pretty "traditional" marriage. Even before we lived together and probably only a couple of months into our relationship, we shared money equally. Everything goes into one pot and we spend what we need. I tend to keep track of it online for both of us and the same with our credit cards. The only added difference for us is that I kept my previous sole bank account to use for my business so that I can keep track of it better for tax purposes. It's also handy for buying presents I don't want him to find out about!

Another pretty good night here and I've got a few mins to myself while Holly's napping. We're getting much better at getting her to sleep now, we've worked out a few tricks, so hopefully she'll keep liking them!

It's DH's birthday coming up and I'm completely stumped as to what to get him. When I ask him what he wants he normally doesn't have a clue. He has told me a cheap CD he wants so that will be from the dog! I've ordered a baby footprint moulding kit thingy, so that will be from Holly. Now I just need something from me! Any ideas? He's into gardening and computer games, although he doesn't really get any time to play on the xbox at the mo.

Decided I could no longer carry Alex in the infant car seat, far too heavy, so i bought the Britax First Plus from Halfords , and had them fit it rear facing. I totally get were your coming from, not much room to get Alex in as it has to be in the recline position. Looks very comfy in it though. I need to keep the receipt in my purse, so I can go back and get them to fit it front facing, when I or Alex get fed up of banging his head,(yes have already done it and only bought it in Saturday!)

Ahmm! TMI, and he will kill me if he ever reads this. OH is circumcised. Was done due to medical reasons when he was about 5 years old. And purley for personal reasons , I much prefer it . That is on the rare occasion he ever gets near me :rotfl:

EA, I think we would have a joint account except that OH moved to the UK with no credit record here only a few years ago and we were cautious about any impact on my credit rating... she does have a cashcard and two credit cards in my name so it's nothing to do with keeping control of the finances.

Yup we do since we moved in together, we practically shared money before then anyway

I would take her back! David has eczema and we have tried numerous different creams to find one that he doesn't react to. You will know well before a week is up if something is helping or hindering

Both oilatum and doublebase irrate David so don't think twice in going back to the doctors and asking to try something else. They will only need to look at Lily and they can tell you need something else!


:(:(:( We had a truly horrendous night here. D was awake from 3am and was completely inconsolable :(:( He still hasn't managed any sleep since and is obviously tired. He just looks so sad it breaks my heart. I can't wait for this paed appointment to hopefully help his eczema and allergies
