I HATE Something Special!!! K loves it, how annoying.
Justin is one of those people I could quite happily slap about the face all day.But all three of mine love it.

It's very lovely, shiney and clean and I don't want to use it and dirty it.
I used it last night to cook the Duck we were supposed to have on friday and it was very delicious.
J was also very good this morning and didn't need to bang the microwave 10 times before school. I think the shattering of the old one and the cut arm has put him off.My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »
Edit - 3 did I miss how your visit from the SW went?
I didn't say. It was just an emergency/crisis visit, a lovely young man social worker who came and talked to us for an hour, before taking J out for two hours so we could have some peace.
Later today, a different social worker is coming with someone from the carer agency to arrange the carer for three hours a week. They'll probably just take him somewhere so we can do something normal with the girls without having to worry about Joe bashing things.
It seems my Mum was right (as she always is!), that you need to phone SS and cry before anyone will actually do anything to help you. She always moans at me for being too brave/strong and independant!
I'm wondering how our SW will feel when he comes back from his holidays and sees that his colleagues have done everything he's supposed to be doing in less than a week!:beer:0 -

Although hubby did tell me over the weekend that the woman used to be one of the tellytubbies...is that just because her name is Po??? I think I may have been stitched up!!I didn't say. Did Joe get on alright with the SW for a couple of hours? Sounds like a productive visit to me, especially if it is going to lead onto some more respite (can I call it respite?) for you all.

Lilys eczema seems to have spread all down her arms and legs alot more now, should i take her back to the GP or keep trying this gel stuff they gave me?
She's currently in a sundress so no clothes touch it, she looks very cute though

My bangy teenager was particularly bangy on Friday and managed to put his arm through the microwave before school, and his foot through the proper oven after school.
I phoned SS (social services, not you!:p)and cried. Our SW was on holiday but I seem to have spoken to a more useful one who is actually realising we need some form of respite before I explode!
ETA: I now have a new clean microwave and cooker.:beer:0 -
Oh no 3, how annoying and worrying for you. But YAY for a better SW who isn't an idiot.
Maybe we can stalk Beenie's HO and get her a better one while she's on holiday too
I do find it funny that SS is either social services, a CBeebies show and me. It means I can never search by my name :rotfl:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

If it is spreading or very sore I'd say take her back to the GP and demand a referral to dermatology.. they may offer allergy testing.. is it cracked and bleeding? If so I can highly recommend wet wrapping her at bedtime.. gallons of (free on prescription) aqueous cream and cottom bandages. I had the most awful eczema as a baby and spent half my early years mummified.
A sundress is a good idea as the sun usually helps clear it up.. just a few minutes a couple of times a day works wonders on my daughters and mine.. it means shedding my cardy but in the privacy of my garden I can do that for a few minutes!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
morning everyone
i'm feeling really tired this morning for some reason, not been able to get going this morning. T missed his 1st nap, did his usual trick of waking up as soon as i put him in his basket. he's just had his 2nd feed and dropped off again so fingers crossed he'll go down this time and i can get some washing done.
my free silvercross baby on board hedgehog came today. it's lovely and T seemed to like it as well
I'm not impressed coz i've had to change my facebook password. when i logged in it said my account had been accessed from a different location and when i went through the security questions it said someone in america had tried to play texas holdem poker on it!
T just woke up again, I need my swing lol. amazon vouchers from nectar havent come through yet thoah well i'll have to sit on the sofa and cuddle him for a bit longer lol
