MFD - If you are around (I will catch up tomorrow), can you please give me your opinion on the Kiddy Infinity Pro car seat please? It's obviously the Which best buy and is best rated for safety and fitting, but the big bit across the front looks really annoying. Does it bother Benjamin at all? Is it very restrictive? Does it make him very hot? I like what I have read about the seat, and the no harness makes sense to me in relation to whiplash, there's just something about it that we don't like the look of. Honest/balanced opinion would be great!!! Thanks. xx

We love it! The cushion at the front is not a problem at all for Benjamin, he has never known anything different. It holds him in nicely and his arms just kind of sit on the top of the cushion. He has on occasion resisted going into his seat and pushed against the cushion but I guess every kid tries not to go in theit seat at some point. I can't say that Benjamin gets overly hot in it - he does get hot sometimes but I have never attributed it to the seat.

I have a couple of pics of him in it on my phone that I will upload to FB later.

One of the massive benefits in my eyes is the ease of fitting it. So I can give it to my MIL or whoever and I know that they can strap him in safely and I don't have to worry about it.

When Benjamin isn't in the seat it isn't strapped in which both hubby and I thought might be a problem, but they don't move around in the car at all (even on hubbys leather seats).

I guess it may be a little more fiddly than other car seats because you have to lean over and do the seatbelt every time...but it still only takes about 30 seconds to put him in.

Benjamin is a bit of a bruiser but it is okay for littlies too - Krystals Caitlyn went in our second one (we have one in each car) when we went to Manchester and was fine.

I read or saw something saying the same very recently. It said in cultures where circumcision is the norm, cases of cervical cancer are incredibly rare/almost non existent. But as you say, it was more linked to having a nice clean willy :p rather than a circumcised one. I'm guessing it's easier to keep a circumcised one clean? (Although I don't know because I haven't got one, in fact i've never even seen one! :o)

I think the cleanliness thing is analogous to having no teeth... easier to clean your teeth if you don't have any, but if you are lucky enough to have some you clean them as a matter of course. If you are not very good at this you might ultimately regret your slovenliness (but teeth-cleaning is quite a lot more technically difficult for obvious reasons!).

Possibly a pointless discussion in a UK environment anyway :) and I wouldn't want to offend anyone who has made a choice the other way given that however emotive an issue it might be, there are certainly lots of arguments in favour either way :)

I think any sleep thing has the potential to be a big pain, and yours seems to be lasting a while and causing quite a lot of stress Aless, so where else would you moan if not here!

I loved your new cutie photos on FB. :D

When I see Benjamin with you I think he looks so like you, but then on pic's with his Daddy, he looks just like him too!

ETA: I remembered. Was it you who had a thing that was on the wall that Benjamin could draw on? What was it?
I was thinking it might be a good temporary fix to cover the beautiful decoration V has done on the wall - but then thought it's a silly idea because it's kind of saying drawing on the walls is ok! **confused**

    Good morning lovelies!

I'm just doing something extremely grown up and trying to organise a viewing of a place to buy to live in

Anyway, I wondered if anyone had come across any good codes or glitches for anywhere I can buy toys online; it's about seven weeks till Molly's birthday and with all the stuff I have on I want to sort her a birthday present fairly soonish.

    Morning all,

    Thanks for your input MFD.

It seems to have everything going for it - it's half the price of buying the best rated Isofix car seats, so would probably allow us to buy 1 for each car. It seems to be lighter than others so would be easy to transfer to my parents car etc if they need to pick H up. It looks straightforward to fit and it performs highly in tests. But I would like to see it in real life, and nowhere seems to stock it, it's only online.

Not sure what we have planned here today. H slept through again and went to bed with no crying for the second night in a row!! Yippee.

ETA - good luck with being grown up Sugar. I have still to learn how to do that!
Anyone watching The Wright Stuff? Mark Little looks crazy with his hair shaved - a bit like Charles Manson?

LOL - lots of people say he looks like me....and then get confused when they see Ken or vice versa. He must be a good mix!

MILs friends now all call him the Sainsbury's baby after seeing the photo of him asleep in the shopping trolley.

We have an aquadraw white-tacked to the wall and I am not sure if it is a good idea or not! We have managed to keep all normal pens away from him unless supervised so it has only had water pens on it so far. MIL's partner makes Benjamin stand in front of it and then draws around him which makes them both really, really giggle :D

Its all very well saying the ones with young school age won't come but what about everyone else? Obviously its to be expected if they are on school premises but this is a church one moan moan whine moan......lol
