Skin still very tender and hair still very scabby almost orange but not quite colour! Can't believe I actually have to go out looking like this. I'll need to try and dye it again before I go away but I'm worried it will hurt :-(0

I HATE Something Special!!! K loves it, how annoying.
No idea what Something Special is - assuming it's kids TV. We only watch Milkshake because you mentioned it! I think Holly is only interested in the opening theme tunes at the moment though - particularly Thomas and Friends.
Meant to say, well done on your Netmums bargains. I bought a £25 universal parasol on Friday as I had been avoiding going out in the sun with H until I bought one. Got home and looked on Netmums and randomly someone was selling a Loola one to match my pram for £5, unused! I went and met her on Saturday and it looks great. So taking the other one back and saving myself £20!!! Lucky coincidence. :money:
Thanks SJ - she has been really good so hoping it continues. Enjoy your day and don't do too much! x
Thanks for the pictures MFD. Will talk it over with DH and let him see them. Hopefully make a decision at the weekend.
ETA - poor Benjamin. Was this his first day back after childminders holiday? He will be back into the swing of it by now. Or have I made this up?
I'm off for a shower and to get ready as it's past Holly's nap time! How often do other babies her age have naps? She is always rubbing her eyes and looking tired! I tried to drop it to 2 naps per day, but she still needs a short third one most days. Just wondering. Probably be back on later as not sure if I am venturing out today or not.0 -

eta: 2 big naps sometimes a third short one but hes in his bed for 7pm. If he was up later defo 3 x0 -

Justin is one of those people I could quite happily slap about the face all day.
But all three of mine love it.

It's very lovely, shiney and clean and I don't want to use it and dirty it.
I used it last night to cook the Duck we were supposed to have on friday and it was very delicious.
J was also very good this morning and didn't need to bang the microwave 10 times before school. I think the shattering of the old one and the cut arm has put him off.

Edit - 3 did I miss how your visit from the SW went?
I didn't say. It was just an emergency/crisis visit, a lovely young man social worker who came and talked to us for an hour, before taking J out for two hours so we could have some peace.
Later today, a different social worker is coming with someone from the carer agency to arrange the carer for three hours a week. They'll probably just take him somewhere so we can do something normal with the girls without having to worry about Joe bashing things.
It seems my Mum was right (as she always is!), that you need to phone SS and cry before anyone will actually do anything to help you. She always moans at me for being too brave/strong and independant!
I'm wondering how our SW will feel when he comes back from his holidays and sees that his colleagues have done everything he's supposed to be doing in less than a week!:beer:0 -
I HATE Show Me, Show Me with a passion
'Show Me, Show Me' how to slap me with a kipper
Although hubby did tell me over the weekend that the woman used to be one of the tellytubbies...is that just because her name is Po??? I think I may have been stitched up!!I didn't say. Did Joe get on alright with the SW for a couple of hours? Sounds like a productive visit to me, especially if it is going to lead onto some more respite (can I call it respite?) for you all.
Yay for no Microwave banging
please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

My bangy teenager was particularly bangy on Friday and managed to put his arm through the microwave before school, and his foot through the proper oven after school.
I phoned SS (social services, not you!:p)and cried. Our SW was on holiday but I seem to have spoken to a more useful one who is actually realising we need some form of respite before I explode!
ETA: I now have a new clean microwave and cooker.:beer:0 -
Oh no 3, how annoying and worrying for you. But YAY for a better SW who isn't an idiot.
Maybe we can stalk Beenie's HO and get her a better one while she's on holiday too
I do find it funny that SS is either social services, a CBeebies show and me. It means I can never search by my name :rotfl:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
