I want to come to the hen night but I'll not be here:( I'll be on holiday but if I can get to the internet at roughly the right time I will join in!:D

Up at 6am again here. Night wakings have all but ceased so you can't have everything I suppose! We need to be up at 7am anyway so its not really that bad. Its actually worse and throws the whole day out if he sleeps til 8am so 6am isn't that bad. Although 7am would be perfect Kieren!!!!

Bruno, can't see the linky on my phone but circumcision is the predominant choice in the usa and there's a lot of people who wrongly think that to not to is 'dirty' or 'unclean'. I think it's an uneducated throwback to the 80s AIDS scare when it was seen as some sort of preventative...well, the tradition is older than that, but that really concreted it into culture. On my American expats forum, it's a very contentious topic that raises heated debate, similar to BF vs FF here! Hope ur oh didn't get too upset about not mutilating ur son's body! (any religious reasons aside, though i don't think anyone on here is jewish, i do respect that it is commanded by certain religions)

Sorry, end rant. Been up loads tonight already and am really cranky. :o

Thanks all, and thanks Aless :) I did know that it's the US default, but OH was opposed to it in the first place anyway so we're aligned. Just hormones and comforting I guess, which worked fine :). There were some studies that suggested that circumcision reduced the chance of catching some STDs I think, then some other ones which discredited the first ones or said it was only if lacking in hygiene or something.

Aless, your sleep situation must be really wearing you down now? :( and, sorry I pushed the fair on car-less you!

Sleep isn't as bad as some on here, so i should stop moaning, really. No worries about the fair - we have a car, i just can't drive it! ;)

Ah, i've visited the link now and see what she might've gotten upset over! There's some very upsetting videos on one link. So my rant was all for nothing, haha.

Are you going to find out the baby's gender? Did you with E?

I've just bought a zoggs training ring and a wetsuit on ebay so am gonna take Amber swimming next week! Only need a swim nappy now (was too slow on the fairy ones too), although i better check my cozzie fits cos if i look like a teletubby spilling out of it then there's no point in Amber looking posh :rotfl:

Beenie Ive got one I could send you? I just checked and they are for 7-13lbs, too small for E lol I am guessing they are too small for Amber too, if they are does anybody else want them?

    Morning all

Whats everyone up to today? I need to nip to shops to get mam a fathers day present (my dad lfet when I was 1, mam raised us on her own, we always get her something for fathers day as well as mothers day)

SM, does the tooth fairy not work Sundays maybe? :rotfl:

Ooo, I really want to go swimming now. After payday, methinks and then loads and loads while we're in the USA. Finn's actually starting to like his baths now, so I hope he'll be less anxious in the pool as well!

I read or saw something saying the same very recently. It said in cultures where circumcision is the norm, cases of cervical cancer are incredibly rare/almost non existent. But as you say, it was more linked to having a nice clean willy :p rather than a circumcised one. I'm guessing it's easier to keep a circumcised one clean? (Although I don't know because I haven't got one, in fact i've never even seen one! :o)

Aww, that's a lovely thing to do. :D

I've got some ebay bits to pack up and send out, a few bits to relist, a few other bits to list and then a walk to the post office. Another exciting day in the 3 house.
