3 pretty much any beans will work in chilli (even baked beans, right SM? :p )

My lappy has a button which turns the wireless on and off, it's the F2 key and looks like a little tower with waves coming off it, sometimes I knock it by mistake and it stops the lappy connecting to the modem :)

Som – as others have said, T is probably fine and it’s not unusual. H has been dropping down the centiles, but as I don’t even have a red book and no-one has mentioned it to me or shown any concern, I only know because I managed to acquire a chart myself! It doesn’t worry me as she is healthy and gains weight every time (except 1 occasion when she had had diarrhoea for a few days and she lost a few ounces).

On the flip side, I don’t think there is anything wrong with HV’s monitoring babies. I think sometimes as mummys we can be a bit over sensitive (not meaning anyone in particular, just people in general from observations on here and my own experience!), and just because they have said to come back every couple of weeks, it doesn’t mean they are saying there is anything wrong, but people seem to get their backs up a bit as they get paranoid about being judged. I don’t think that most HVs actually mean to panic people in this way. I would personally rather someone showed an interest and monitored weight gain/speech development etc than leave it until it does become a problem and then wonder why no-one helped earlier. The chances are that there is nothing wrong in most cases, and then everyone will be happy, but if there was something that could be improved/helped, I would rather know.

Sorry, shutting up now. I don't mean to do such long posts, honestly!

Tara - it was that easy for me last time! Much to DH's disgust. He thought he would be in for months of sex every night and it happened within the first week of trying ha ha.

Thanks SJ. I'll throw them in and see what happens. Might throw a tin of heinz in too.

I do seem to have a little tower with waves coming off, but its on a switch at the side of the laptop which is really easy to accidentally knock off. I've knocked it sooo many times before and have sat ranting about the stupid internet not working! :o

Took Tahlie to Baby clinic on Thursday and she isnt gaining as much weight as they would like and has strted dropping centiles :( She's healthy and alert etc and there happy that she is fed on demand, they seem to think its an issue with me being stressed or not eating properly, or even both! So am using up some of the freebie prgnacare samples I have left while looking for somewhere cheap to buy more vits, but the lack of sleep isnt going to help :( Anyhoo they want me to stay on 2 weekly checks so they can keep an eye on her for now, and not leave it to get worse.

We had/still have the exact same thing, but luckily my HV can see Evie's fine and didn't make a big thing out of it. Although for a few weeks there was talk of her wanting me to start on formula but I stood my ground. I tried all the advice given and I was eating more and she was eating fine - more than normal even - and it was actually (or seems to have been) that her growth line just isn't as steep as the one in the book!

She was 7lb 13oz when she was born and followed just under the 50th centile for first month, then at 5 weeks dropped to between 9th & 25th centiles, then was on 9th centile at 2 months, and has gradually continued to drop below it since then, and she was just above 2nd centile last time i took her at 20 weeks when she weighed 11lb 13.5oz. She's now been on solids for about 4 weeks and on 3 meals a day since this week, and is still having lots of milk feeds and I've got a funny feeling she's still not put that much on in last 4-5 weeks and will probably be on or under 2nd centile when I take her to get weighed on Friday at 6 months.

But funnily enough, everyone we know and everyone we meet says she's the happiest, most content, relaxed baby they've ever met. And I agree. She's always smiling, even when she wants something, and I couldn't wish for a better baby. :A

I got so stressed about it at the time when the HV was questioning it, and I remember feeling afterwards that I'd missed out on enjoying some good times with her because I'd been too busy worrying about that when I knew in my heart that she was fine and happy.

If you look at Tahlie and can tell she's happy and content, then she is. She'd tell you otherwise. And she's the only person you really need to listen to. Don't worry about it, she sounds like she's doing great :D
