ooo, am i first on? Last night was good - only 1 wake-up other than the usual feed! He still woke up fairly early, but as dh gets up for work at 6, i just feed him in bed until then. Once the night wakings are conquered, then we'll work on the early mornings :)

Hope everyone has a good day!

    Morning

Must get that uni essay finished this morning. Tried to do some last night but I was knackered and gave up :o

Got to go to the hospital this afternoon for allergy tests to see if that is what is causing my sinus pain and snot. I have to travel to Darlington though. I did ring and ask if I could have the appointment closer to home, but apparantly if you live in County Durham, you can only be allergy tested on a Wednesday afternoon in Darlington! The lady did say sarcastically "welcome to our wonderful flexible NHS" :rotfl:

Have a good day all xx
Here I go again on my own....

    Moan warning

When we moved into this house we needed to give our managers number for a work reference. We called him and he said it was him that gives the reference and to put his email down.

So we did it again for this house. Checked my fb today and someone who is training to be a manager has sent me a message saying "An agency contacted us and i cant give details out about you so i gave them payrolls number"

    :mad::mad::mad:

    1. Why the hell was he checking the ops managers emails? And the replying to what isn't addressed to him?
    2. He knows how bad payroll are at doing anything and he even metioned that in the message.
    3. Last time the manager gave the reference fine!

So now i have to wait for payroll to do the reference, and it needs to be done yesterday! They took 3 weeks to fill in an a4 form to confirm my working hours and pay for LHA

Sorry to rant, its just this credit check needs to be done by the 20th so we can give notice here.

    Morning anyway :)

Lily is chatting anyway loudly, she seems to be growing up so quickly *sob*

Hi SJ - love the pic of Alfie in your avatar - he's so cute! What time do you usually start your routine?

We had a couple of green poos last week, I'm sure you've already checked this but in my case it was because I was swapping boobs too quickly (I don't normally so don't know why I did this time lol) so he was getting too much foremilk. Apparantly it's also common in hotweather if they're feeding more frequently and digesting it too quickly.

This is the first time DH and I have sat downstairs on our own since he was born!!

Thanks! We go upstairs at 7pm, run the bath, draw the curtains and put a lamp and the bedroom light on. Then he's bathed, dried and dressed the light goes off and I feed him quietly in the dim light. Burp him then put him down in his cot awake, sometimes with the mobile on (I don't put it on every night as I don't want him to reply on it and cause us any issues if he needs to go to bed elsewhere). He's normally asleep within 5 minutes. Oh and now, if for some reason I don't notice the time or we are out somwhere, Alfie will let us know it's bedtime by getting grumpy bang on 7!!

I have been trying to be sure he's completely drained one side before changing but not making much difference. He only comes off of his own accord and I haven't changed how I feed him (I don't think) so not sure what to try next :/

Hope you enjoyed your evening :)

Glad you had a good night! I often think of you in the morning and wonder how you got on. We had a good night last night too, must have been the night for it!

Definitely the night for it. We had a good night too- only one wake up at 4:40 which is pretty much back to normal for us.

SJ- while you're around can I pick your brains on cakes. Do you know anywhere (online or a chain) that would sell little tiny carrots made of icing to go on carrot cupcakes, also anywhere that sells boxes for transporting multiple cupcakes? Thanks in advance!

Awww, you're very sweet. Do I really go on about our sleeping problems that much? :o :rotfl: Hope other babies like Jack, David, Alex slept well too. (hmmmm, all boys. Coincidence??)

Morning all! :) I'm playing catch up!

Mel, I have booked the church hall at my parent's parish for both of mine (they were christened in my parish but I wanted to include my old church too). Poppy's was originally planned in my sister's HUGE garden but it was too stressful due to rain forecast that we booked the hall last minute instead. We booked a caterer, had a cake made and hired a DJ (the hall was split in two rooms so people could choose loud or quiet :) ). My parents put money behind the bar but were given change back each time!

I'm going to be a Godmother in two weeks. My friend has invited 21 guests plus children and has booked a Chinese restaurant for afterwards which I'm looking forward to.

    xx

    Morning,

Glad to hear of lots of babies sleeping well :D We had a good night here too after a few odd ones - slept from 7 til 5, had a bit of milk and went back til 7 :D & even better, he's just dropped off for a nap by himself, no cuddle, dummy or milk, woo hoo!

EA do you mean they contacted you via Facebook? I'd be a bit pee'd off about that too, talk about lack of professionalism.

Hi Gill :) Guy sleeps a lot in the day too I think compared to other babies, in the morning he'll be up around 7 for the day, nap around 9 for about half an hour, then nap somewhere between 11 and 2 for an hour or so, then nap again at around 3 for about 20 minutes, then a final one at about 5 for half an hour, then bed at 7/7.30 til 5am usually. I find that when we try and keep him awake or he misses bedtime he sleeps really really badly.

Beenie glad you had a nice evening, sounds like you needed it. No advice on the brat, looks like everyone else has said what I'd say!

Becles hope the hospital goes well this aft & you get to the bottom of the problem :) I always mean to say - Charlotte looks & sounds so cute :D

Hope the hospital goes well this morning Tara, x

I caught Guy rolling yesterday :D Me & OH were sat in the kitchen and he was on a rug on the floor, gurgling to himself then suddenly he was on his side then on his front, so proud! I know he's done it before as I've left him and come back to him on the other side, but this is the first time I saw properly :) He can't get back and generally seems to stop on his side, so not sure if it was fluke that landed him on his front!!

Thanks for the fathers day ideas - decided to get him a glass jar of 87 sweets, one for every day of daddy hood :) Fairly easy to do and won't require much work or shop visiting for me!!

Anyone know how to make foolproof gingerbread? It was my dads request for fathers day and I've no idea, found a couple of recipes online but I'm pants at baking!
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j
