    Hi all x

Lots of pages to catch up on and I started to read thru but no way am I gonna get thru everything so anyone care to update me on anything important/intresting?

Well had a really lovely time at my Mums this weekend and Tahlie for the bast part was very good. My Uncles party was fab too and loved catching with all my relatives and showing off Tahlie to them. Seems she isnt a big fan when theres lots of noise tho and got a lil grotty at one point so she had a sleep in her pushchair. She slept really well in her travel cot while at mums except for Subday night when we couldnt get her to settle but when she did she slept as normal. Mum bought her this when we went out on Sunday and she absolutley loves it :D Its hard find toys to amuse them at this age but this does.

Had a bit of an ebay splurge last week so have had lil parcels turning up :D Still got one to collect from the post office tho when I get 5 mins. Managed to get a green amber teething necklace last night too, had been bidding on one before but kept loosing :( Anyhoo was the only person bidding on this one so got it for the min price :D

Am seriously sleep deprived atm, you would think OH having time of would give me more of a rest but oh no. His snoring has gotten worse the last few days too so bannished him to the sofa. Last night and monday night were a mare, Tahlie wakes every few hours for a feed and there taking ages and then when I do put her down she's really unsettled. As OH was on the sofa last night I gave up and brought her in bed from midnight till 5am, got a lil more sleep but not much. Its so bad I seem to have a permenant headache atm, and am consantly in a bad mood with OH. Think T's disturb sleep is due to a lack of descent naps thru the day atm.

Took Tahlie to Baby clinic on Thursday and she isnt gaining as much weight as they would like and has strted dropping centiles :( She's healthy and alert etc and there happy that she is fed on demand, they seem to think its an issue with me being stressed or not eating properly, or even both! So am using up some of the freebie prgnacare samples I have left while looking for somewhere cheap to buy more vits, but the lack of sleep isnt going to help :( Anyhoo they want me to stay on 2 weekly checks so they can keep an eye on her for now, and not leave it to get worse.

Got Baby Massage at 1pm and really cba! Tho I know if I do go Ill feel better for it after, so just need some motivation. Well sorry for the major woah is me post but I havent anyone else to tell.

    Morning ladies,

we'll try not to breathe our germs on anyone as Isla and I are both full of coughs and colds :( I got some medicine from boots that's meant to be fine for BF'ing mamas and then checked the ingredients on kellymom and it can reduce milk supply by upto 24% Just what I need when she's trying to feed more to comfort herself.

Krystal that pics lovely, she looks such a cutie.

Gym - the fairies have arrived, thank you so much. You're a star! :A

Lot's of good babies sleeping well last night I see, it was definately the night for it. Isla went down at about 9pm which is late for her but OH gave her the bath and massage and then she peed all over the bed for him :rotfl: It always takes him twice as long too but I fed her and she slept through until 7.30, had a quick feed and back down until 9am!

Are people still going to sling meet next Wed? Just checking so I can book the train.

Off to read back a bit :)

Beenie - put the brake on, then push the two grey buttons and give it a wiggle and it should go down then. I had the same problem and Sami had to find me online instructions! The handle needs to be on the lowest setting too.

First of all..make sure they are using charts for breastfed babies rather than the formula fed baby charts that are standard in the books!!!!!

Breastfed babies don't gain weight as fast as formula fed ones.. mainly because the milk is all digested and not made into fat.

I would tell them to eff off and not go at all.. if she is alert and happy and producing more nappies than you are happy to see in a day she is doing just fine!! She is due a growth spurt as well...

Mine were born on 75th-90th centiles for weight and ALL dropped to the 10th-25th by the time they were 4-5 months.. it is very very normal for them to drop centiles..

2-3am feeds are vital for increasing supply so make sure you do those.

Loads of carbs help.. and drink more.. not tea or coffee or alcohol.. juice or water is fine!

Thanks Boo! It was the wiggling i needed to do, thanks :D:D

My god it's massive when folded with the seat on. I take it it doesn't click into folded position so it stays folded?

I love it though :D I can't work out how to use the insect net at all, it just doesn't work for me lol

Som Isla's dropped down from being on the 25th at birth to just above the 9th now. I'm not worried as I know she's happy, alert and has plenty of wet/dirty nappies so I knw she get's enough milk. If you hadn't taken her to be weighed would you be worried about her progress? 'They' can sometimes put a huge pressure on mums that their babies need to conform to charts but babies do their own thing. Also are they using the chart for FF babies or BF babies?

Please don't beat yourself up that your stressed or not eating the right things, I'm reading 'The politics of breastfeeding' at the minute and it say's how mums in war zones with no food for themselves and the stress the war causes still produce healthy nutritional milk for their babies.

    Morning,

Glad to hear of lots of babies sleeping well :D We had a good night here too after a few odd ones - slept from 7 til 5, had a bit of milk and went back til 7 :D & even better, he's just dropped off for a nap by himself, no cuddle, dummy or milk, woo hoo!

I caught Guy rolling yesterday :D Me & OH were sat in the kitchen and he was on a rug on the floor, gurgling to himself then suddenly he was on his side then on his front, so proud! I know he's done it before as I've left him and come back to him on the other side, but this is the first time I saw properly :) He can't get back and generally seems to stop on his side, so not sure if it was fluke that landed him on his front!!

Thanks for the fathers day ideas - decided to get him a glass jar of 87 sweets, one for every day of daddy hood :) Fairly easy to do and won't require much work or shop visiting for me!!

Anyone know how to make foolproof gingerbread? It was my dads request for fathers day and I've no idea, found a couple of recipes online but I'm pants at baking!

Yey for sleeping and rolling! Alfie is so lazy,, he isn't interested in moving anywhere!

Gingerbread recipe this is easy and makes lovely gingerbread.

The sweets in a jar is a FAB idea! I might do that too :p I'll have to count the days up though.

    Morning everyone!

Does anyone know why my lappy won't connect to the Internet? My phone is connected to the same wifi, and is working, but the laptop can't connect ?!?

I was going to suggest toggling the wireless button btu that would have been too technical it seems lol

Boo, yes I'm still coming to sling meet next week

Som, agreed with pigpen and boo. I haven't weighed finn in aroud 2 months, maybe even more, and he hasn't seen a HV since he was 3 weeks!! But he's happy and has lots of nappies, so i don't really care. Don't be concerned because 'they' tell u to be, only be concerned if u think tahlie's not well.

I know firsthand how lack of sleep can make u feel so down! Whatever u do, don't try and get thru it with loads of caffeine as it only makes u feel worse, a little is okay though.

    Hi all,

Not got time to read back at the moment - need to tidy up as MIL is coming for the day. Just back from the docs though and thought I would report back since it was you lot who gave me the push to make the appointment.

Doc was happy to refer me for breast reduction surgery and the next stage is to see a psychologist. I pushed her for a timescale and she said this could take around 1 year, but after that if I am accepted, things move quite quickly. I had expected it to take about a year anyway, so at least I have got the ball rolling. And it means I have time to have a baby in the meantime perhaps! If it was 6 months, I would be more torn about whether I should wait until after to get pregnant.
She took my height and weight and wasn't concerned as I have just had a baby and losing weight. Ideal BMI would be between 20-25 for surgery so just to keep eating healthy and aiming for that. I think I am 28 at the moment.

From what i remember reading yesterday:

Well done to Buttons! I hope it makes you happier.

Weezl - hugs to you. I am sure Fergie is absolutely fine, but at least you have something to work on now.

Tara - sorry to hear about Ben's ankle. Hope it's not broken and you can still go on holidays. Are you going abroad or is it a Haven break? Glad OH's results show his heart is fine and hope they get to the bottom of it.

SJ - well done to Alfie for wanting lifted! Holly never seems to indicate she wants lifted - she lifts her arms when I am just about to lift her. I guess I am too quick for her to bother! She was waving to everyone in the docs today though so that's going well!

Beenie - speak to that woman and tell her a reciprocal agreement just doesn't suit you at the moment and you have too much on to mind someone on a regular basis. DO IT!!!!!! That's an order.
