Sarah_Joanne wrote: » Hi Gill. Not sure on sleep tips as Alfie is pretty good. We have a relaxing bedtime routine - bath, boob, bed - that we stick to and keep everything dark and quiet at night feed. Seems to work for us. Glad you are enjoying being a mummy
I am too.
Squishy my pandora bracelet arrived today and I love it! If you register with http://www.unforgettablemoments.co.uk/ you get a code for 10% off (I ought to be on commission :rotfl: )
Hi SJ - love the pic of Alfie in your avatar - he's so cute! What time do you usually start your routine?
We had a couple of green poos last week, I'm sure you've already checked this but in my case it was because I was swapping boobs too quickly (I don't normally so don't know why I did this time lol) so he was getting too much foremilk. Apparantly it's also common in hotweather if they're feeding more frequently and digesting it too quickly.
MFD and Glam - thanks for this advice. It does make a lot of sense coz he does look too tired and stimulated- his eyes get so big and wide and fixed. He doesn't nap a lot through the day some days so I think that doesn't help. He's had a touch of colic the last few days as well which hasn't helped but seems ok tonight.
I started slightly earlier tonight and he was in his basket for 10.15. He kept whinging while I was in the room but was fine when I left so we left him alone and he's now fast asleep! It's probably helped that he was so tired from not sleeping last night, altho he has napped a lot today, so from tomorrow I'm going to start watching out for when he gets sleepy in the evening. I have 4 different baby books and none of them give any advice like that - no wonder I mised this forum lol

Gill - enjoy your little bit of relaxation!
Don't worry about how much he naps in the day - babies need lots of sleep and the more they sleep the better they sleep (if that makes any sense). Benjamin will happily sleep for 3 hours in an afternoon and then still have 12 or 13 hours at night. Although at 15 months he is a whirlwind when he is awake LOL!

Beenie - You sent that text yet?
NoI fail at life
But i'm gonna see her tomorrow when she picks up Brat so do i act like everything is fine and text her another day, or man up and say it to her face?
My friend came over tonight, i wish she came more often i hardly ever see her. I saw her more when she lived in York, and she only lives 10 mins away now. We had the pizza deal offer from Morrisons and some choc cake with baileys creamIt's just blissful being distracted from the noise next door and also to have someone to feed Amber her night bottle so i can get the house sorted out.
Susan our Beaver colony just started up after a 4 year break (due to no leader) so there's only about 4 beavers so far! Leader keeps telling us to invite all the kids from school but i cba with half of them so i'm hoping it'll grow without my help lol. I'm so bad.0 -
Don't worry about it Beenie, you'll tell her eventually. If it helps, imagine your someone else when you do it, someone you admire for being strong and outspoken - lots of good role models on here
Glad you had a nice time with your friend.
I'm off to bed now, really need to somehow shift myself and start going to bed early bc all these lates night are not doing me any good but I always find so much do to in the evenings *confused smiley*Mum to DD born Oct 2009
