Not really sure to be honest :o Although there's only so much notice you can give for a christening really isn't there?!

does depend on the church and if you have a specific date in mind. some churches if there is a good school attatched will have lots of christenings all the time. some clergy only have 1 baby/child a week some have more.

we booked Kian's 6 months in advance to get the sunday we wanted

((hugs)) Tara, that's all you need when you are due to go on holiday!!! Fingers crossed it isn't broken.

  • Oh no Ben, bad timing! I hope it's not a break, Tara.

Susan- I am like Alice and would much rather have sandwich components separately, although I think part of my 'thing' is that I can't bear butter or marge on bread (or anything) so I associate sandwiches with that. I'd much rather have a buffet of things on my plate.

BM- could you put some crackers and some cheese or egg or something in for Keira if she doesn't like sandwiches?

JM- I forgot to say well done to Jake earlier, but you must be so proud of him.

Oooh really? Maybe I should phone asap...I just don't like to tempt fate and book an unborn baby in for things! As long as I get something in September I suppose it doesn't matter if it isn't the beginning, just Oct & Nov are busy birthday months.

3 - I figure I am not paying out for a venue, and food won't cost much as so few people...that I can push the boat out a bit and supply drinks:p Most will be driving anyway so I doubt anyone will drink much:)

i saw the sheet on sunday where they have a list of christenings and there is 3 per week uptil mid sept. and when we go to church i'm one of the youngest there! just shows how many people have a christening for the 'party'

i think on the sunday just gone there were 4 people younger than me. one was Kian and then 3 from 'junior church'

all the old ladies fuss over him though and he smiles at them all. then tries to swipe their hymn books :rotfl:

I don't think it has a school attached, well there isn't one physically attached:o

As I say I am not too worried about an exact date/time, so will just keep my fingers crossed and hope for any weekend in September:)

I suppose I could phone up and book K in and just mention that it will be a joint one but can I add the baby to the service after it is born??
