I think that as soon as he gets in the bath he knows it's bedtime, I just wish he'd stay still in the bath! He's always trying to climb out or reach up to the windowsill - I'm constantly standing over him. He refuses to stay in the bath seat (which I have to try and use now he's mobile) and I know that if he was in one of the ones with a bar at the front he'd just arch his back and throw himself backwards
This is why I go in the bath with Benjamin every night. It just isn't worth the hassle of me trying to wrestle him from the side (we have a corner bath too so it can be a bit of a stretch). It is now just part of our special time together as we wind down to bedtime.fattybooboo wrote: »
Does anyone here use baby armbands? I currently hold T the whole time we are in the pool, have tried a swimseat and quite like that too. But just saw armbands for babies from 3-24 months on boots.com here
Just wondered if they are worth getting?
We used them when we had swimming lessons and Benjamin really liked them. They gave him a little bit of freedom (although I still had to keep hold of him). He hated the seats because he was too far away from the water in them.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

I think she is very much aware of what she likes, and she is sticking to that, she can't eat much at a time. So I'll maybe put half an egg sandwich in her lunch box, a banana and a yoghurt.fattybooboo wrote: »Does anyone here use baby armbands? I planned to keep J rear facing for as long as possible BUT I am really struggling to fit him through the gap between the roof of the car and the top of the car seat. I keep catching his head when I put him in. I guess it could just be that my car is narrow but I don't think I'll manage it for much longer.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

That sounds perfect Mel except i'd tell everyone to bring a bottle.
(Am I just tight?)
Does anyone have any tried and tested ways of dealing with nails please.
Singing 'this little piggy' with each nail works for us.Jakesmummy wrote: »Well you know this morning jakes school offered to have him all day and give him dinner, well after the other month when i tried him on dinners i was really worried he wouldnt eat anything and get upset again, they had steak pie and carrots today, something he has never ate for me so i wasnt hopeful, ...well he ate it all!!! so proud of him! the teacher was chuffed she took some pics, one of him eating and another of him holding the empty plate:A I now feel so much better about him having school dinners with everyone else when he goes to reception and is quite a weight off my mind!

Aww, how cute! I bet he's so proud of himself too with the teacher making such a fuss.
I'm sure most children are completely different at home/school. Most days, L comes home from school and tells me what she's had for dinner, and it's usually something that is 'disgusting' at home!
Would that work for you Buttons? When she's on her school trip might she eat her lunch because her friends are?
Someone has taken my baby and left me with a screamy whingey one! I've been upstairs for two hours trying to get her off to sleep!:beer:0 -
Evening, came on at lunchtime to catch up, got as far as Sami saying she'd never had South African (which I thought was a little TMI
) and the school rang as Ben had a little accident
so a few hours of drama started. We now have to wait for a phonecall from a consultant tomorrow morning to see if his ankle is broken!
3 I love your avvy!!!Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

Oooh really? Maybe I should phone asap...I just don't like to tempt fate and book an unborn baby in for things! As long as I get something in September I suppose it doesn't matter if it isn't the beginning, just Oct & Nov are busy birthday months.
3 - I figure I am not paying out for a venue, and food won't cost much as so few people...that I can push the boat out a bit and supply drinks:p Most will be driving anyway so I doubt anyone will drink much:)Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
