Gill - I agree with MFD about finding the right window, even now I can miss it resulting in a wide awake but grumpy/overtired baby! I would say as soon as LO starts rubbing his eyes or yawning get him down - try to make sure you've done bath and feed before he gets to this stage though!

I am (now) a firm believer in routines! I am not a routine person and until I returned to work 4 weeks ago it wasn't a problem but now that I can't catch up on sleep and I actually have to be functioning during the day (driving, working, training etc) I needed to get the routine back on track. We come in, Jack has some food, then play time, then up for a bath at 7pm, take him in the spare room which is nice and dark to get ready for bed (I can't risk putting him on the changing unit ) then into his room, bottle and bed. Even tonight it took a good 15 mins for him to drop off and I had to go in 4 times because he was crying but I didn't look at him or talk to him, just quick cuddle, lay him back down, blankets on and leave. He's starting to get the message.

oops that turned out to be longer than expected.

Getting him dressed and bum changes is a absolute nightmare - he crawls off the minute the nappy's off regardless of whether I've wiped him and when I'm putting his clothes on he rolls over mid change, sits up and throws himself backwards. At least on the double bed I have plenty of room to manovure him about, it's easier for me to catch him and it's not as far to fall if he ever did.

She may eat a plain pita bread, but probably not anywith with cheese/ham/tuna, though she will eat "scrambled egg" sandwiches (hard boiled egg to me and you ) But she can't sit and eat a whole sandwich.

I think she is very much aware of what she likes, and she is sticking to that, she can't eat much at a time. So I'll maybe put half an egg sandwich in her lunch box, a banana and a yoghurt.

I think that as soon as he gets in the bath he knows it's bedtime, I just wish he'd stay still in the bath! He's always trying to climb out or reach up to the windowsill - I'm constantly standing over him. He refuses to stay in the bath seat (which I have to try and use now he's mobile) and I know that if he was in one of the ones with a bar at the front he'd just arch his back and throw himself backwards

Hello everyone!! Had a quick catch up whilst perusing the baby bits on boots.com

Had a bit of a bad night with T last nite, he really wasnt himself. Im sure its cos of his 2nd tooth coming through, today its poked through the gum so hopefully its not so sore now.

Went to aqua tots this morning, really enjoyed it, it was £3 for a half hour session which involves nursery rhymes in the pool but also free time too. It actually works out cheaper than going to our normal pool as we only tend to stay in about that long anyhoo.

Does anyone here use baby armbands? I currently hold T the whole time we are in the pool, have tried a swimseat and quite like that too. But just saw armbands for babies from 3-24 months on boots.com here
Just wondered if they are worth getting?

Kierens twin:D Total nightmare! From mid afternoon onwards each nappy change he ends up wearing less and less clothing cos i cba wrestling with him! Hes usually only in an open poppered vest by getting ready for bed time :rotfl:

Fair enough! A loves the bath but he cries once he gets to the change unit as think he then realises he's hungry and tired
