Glad you spoke to someone Weezl...Number 1&2 on the list is what I focus on, like when he has finished his lunch/dinner etc and starts stropping to get out the highchair I repeat 'gone' and 'out' about a million times.....

I hope you feel better having something to work towards:)

Thanks for the thoughts on christenings....When we did the older two we booked a hall around the corner from the church and had put food on, it had a bar so people could get drinks if they wanted to. It was actually quite a nice place but has since been knocked down!!! I'm not sure if I wanted to do anything qiute so big this time, but don't really want to have a do at the house.

I will keep thinking......and dh is flaming useles he keeps coming out with random stuff like, 'don't invite anyone', 'Book Anfield function rooms', 'have it in Cyprus'!!!! and other such nonsense...so it looks like it will be down to me as usual to find something suitable.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Hello again everyone. I introduced myself 7 weeks ago when Thomas was first born but have barely had a spare minute to come on here. I have been missing my online chats so have been making the effort to get my butt off the sofa (daytime tv is frighteningly addictive!!) and start doing my feeds upstairs on the pc.

We're doing really well and I love being a mummy, but we've been having a few sleep issues of late. Bit of a shock to the system as T used to fall asleep in my arms after his 10am feed then sleep until 7.30 with a night feed at 4am ish. Now he seems to be really wideawake until 1am, then wakes at 6. I've started doing his last feed in the bedroom with only his night light on to recreate night time but it doesnt seem to make any difference. Any advice?

Glad you've got a plan of action Weezl xx

Hmm, I would like a charm bracelet, but don't know whether to go for the classic style or the pandora style? Decisions decisions!

Well, Elena had her first taste of nursery yesterday as I had to go in to sort out some paperwork. I left her in the baby room for about 40 minutes and she was the bestest girl! No crying at all, lots of smiles for the staff, and playing with toys. She even ignored me when I went back in to pick her up, and offered to share her dummy with one of the staff :rotfl: She's going in for a 2 hour session each day for the rest of the week, so we'll see how they go, then an afternoon and morning session next week.

*proud mummy alert* she now weighs 22lbs, and is 69cm long. Her favourite 'words' are mama, dada, and nana so her nana will be well pleased with her when we visit again soon :D

 Hi Gill. Not sure on sleep tips as Alfie is pretty good. We have a relaxing bedtime routine - bath, boob, bed - that we stick to and keep everything dark and quiet at night feed. Seems to work for us. Glad you are enjoying being a mummy :) I am too.

Squishy my pandora bracelet arrived today and I love it! If you register with http://www.unforgettablemoments.co.uk/ you get a code for 10% off (I ought to be on commission :rotfl: )

He's always making out to DS like he's better than him cos he has everything (they're loaded) and i'm always having to explain to DS that he's just showing off and that DS has a better life playing out and being a boy than having expensive clothes and computer games.
If it's any consolation, my brother used to have a "friend" like that (who thought he was better because his family were better off and had more "stuff"). They did stop being friends and ended up at different schools but then they happened to end up at the same university. My brother said that he became a bit of a layabout and then dropped out which just goes to show that being richer doesn't automatically make you "better".

Fergie's lovely. The HV is rather worried about his development though and has talked about referral to SALT due to lack of words/comprehension.

    So that's sad :(
Are you worried about his speech/comprehension or is it just the HV? If it's any comfort, Alice was behind "average" for actual speaking until around when she turned two and then she suddenly zoomed forwards really quickly.

I sometimes feel like I should have another so the baby doesn't grow up like an only child. I'm thinking when the baby is 8, DD1 will be 16 and DS 19 so they'll have absolutely nothing in common with her. :(

Yes, I think thats a great idea lol The wheels are on their way. Picked up at half five.

:( Alfie's still doing green poos and he's got some nappy rash now too. Poor little thing. Might call HV if it doesn't get any better in the next day or so
