Morning...
Hammy 4.30:( I had to go in and tell K sternly to go back to slepp at about that time too....thankfully he listened today, unlike the past week where he has been a bit of a pita!!
Last day off for the boys today and back to school tomorrow, but how annoying, we can't go out anywhere as I have to wait in for Midwife and hospital with G&A!! We may just nip out to the park later if the weather is ok and everything is delivered by then:)
In the meantime I will dye my hair (just my normal colour to cover the grey:o) and carry on working my way through the washing mountain:p

Morning all... In a funny mood this morning... Waiting for a friend to txt back about something...
Buggy fit this morning... It's the first one in this area... Should be interesting anyway... What do people wear to these things? I have some jogging bottoms but they tend to ride a bit high so I don't generally wear them for public viewing... Think I'd get away with jeans?A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Morning all. Beenie is alive and well and text me last night! Hooray!
Whoever asked after Kindof- shes quite active on FB so am assuming all is well.
Em- Any wedding I've been to thats been separate venues a bus has been put on free for the guests. 3 or 4 weddings I've been to like this and I thought it was the norm?? Possibly again regional variation or local custom?
eta: Krystal I'd wear jeans as I wear jeans just about everyday anyway!
Am off to baby group for the first time in ages today! My back feels up to sitting on the floor!
Have got chiro again today for more punishment0 -
Morning all,
I was trying to count how many weddings I have been to and can count at least 35, so probably closer to 50 including the ones I can't remember from my younger days! So I am a serial wedding go-er lol. And it's never been the same person twice!!!
It is totally normal for guests to make their way from the church/ceremony to the reception venue afterwards. I have only been to 1 wedding where a bus was put on for this. Although a few weddings I have been to put a bus on for evening guests to collect at a central point if the wedding isn't local. Then a bus for going home again with a couple of drop off points. That's always been if there are lots of people invited from your local area, but your wedding venue is a bit out of the way. If everyone is spread out, then there's no point really.
I went to a wedding on an island once and the reception was back on the mainland, and everyone provided their own transport.0 -

Hmmm, has David been teaching Finn tricks? 4:30 for us here, too (though I managed to stave off the worst of it with the booby until about 5:30 when he was just impossibly awake).
In fact, I'm going to be b!tchy and say the whole thing is actually DH's fault. I went in at around 4:10am to calm a crying baby - he was proving fairly difficult to get off to sleep (kept drifting off and then startling, which resulted in a short cry before drifting off again - cue this about 5 times over). Lately Finn has been waking up hideously early, so we've gotten into the bad habit of bringing him in to bed so we don't have to go to the effort of trying to get him back to sleep at 5am or so. Anyway, DH was being all foul-moody that I was keeping him awake by being in Finn's room trying to soothe him (!!!! !!!!!!, he sleeps through all the other wake-ups ). I tried to tell him if we brought Finn into bed that early, that he would be awake to play by 5:30, but DH sees it as an easy solution because he's not the one that has to lay next to a fidgety, kicky baby!! It really cheesed me off, because I see it as MY choice if I want to be out of bed trying to get Finn off instead of copping out and bringing him in - to me, it's a short term sacrifice in that at least once he gets to sleep I'll get another hour of proper sleep, rather than an hour of semi-dozing next to wiggle baby. Anyway, I was proved totally right when Finn wanted to giggle and play by 5:30 and DH promised to let me do it my way in the future:p.
Sorry, mini-rant turned long.

Csh - Hope chiropractor goes well and you can get back up if you sit down at Baby Group!
MFD/Glam - how are your shoulders/backs?
Krystal - I think jeans will probably be fine.
Ladybird - How did the crying go last night?
Bruno - What are Mrs Bruno's reasons for still BFing? Does she still get anything out of it herself, or is she doing it because she would feel guilty if she stopped? I am just trying to understand (not making any judgement) as I obviously haven't been in the situation myself. I thought it was partly a bonding thing between mum and baby, so if it's causing distress, then it sounds like it is having the opposite affect now and being destructive of their bond which kind of defeats the purpose. I am not sure I am expressing this very well.0 -
Hooray for all these babies hitting milestones! And their mummies!
Bruno, I'm sorry Mrs Bruno is finding it so hard. When I was about as pregnant as she is now, someone looking at my nipples was too much pressure on them they were so sensitive. I can't imagine feeding a baby. Would she think about expressing if she isn't ready to stop giving him breastmilk altogether?
Em, we had a reception a way away from the ceremony site and just made sure that everyone had a lift. We'd planned it in advance so that people without cars would go into cars with people they didn't know but who they had a lot in common with, and judging by the number of phone numbers/emails/FB exchanges it seems we did well.
Budapest is lovely - and Molly has two more teeth!! The two middle bottom ones are through, and the two top are still sitting just barely out of the gum where they've been for months. Husband woke me this morning though, he'd put his room keycard with his credit cards etc on the table and then didn't recognise it as a roomkey, so woke me up rummaging through my handbag to find mine because of course, since his wasn't in his pocket he must have responsibly put the one in the electricity slot in there and *I* was the ingrate who'd lost the other :rotfl:
And Germany trounced the Aussies last night :j although I would cheerfully ram vuvuselas down the windpipes of anyone inconsiderate enough to blow one.
