I can confirm searches from my own Equifax or Experian reports in the last 6 months:

    Halifax Mortage - Experian only
Halifax Current Account - Experian only
Nationwide Credit Card - Experian only
Vanquis Credit Card - Experian only

    Barclaycard - Equifax only
    Very.co.uk - Equifax only
Virgin Media (Phone, Broadband and TV) - Equifax only

    Hope this helps somebody :)

    Couple of corrections:

I've had a few loans from Zopa over the years; they searched EQ for the first three but the most recent they also searched CC as well.

Nationwide primarily search EX for loans, and secondarily CC. They don't search EQ at all, as currently suggested on the first page.

Also, when opening a Halifax Easycash account last July they performed only an Identification: Generic Check with Experian, but a full credit search and identification check with Call Credit.

Nationwide do search Equifax and did when I applied for a loan - soft search and then hard search. They also searched call credit but did not search Experian.

    For what it's worth:

Bank of Scotland Credit Card: Applied June 2013. Searched EX, CC. Reports to EX, EQ, CC

M&S Credit Card: Applied Dec 2013. Searched EX only. Reports to EX, EQ, CC.

Santander bank account: Applied Jan 2014. Searched EX only. Reports to EX, EQ, CC.

Tesco credit card: Applied Feb 2014. Searched EX only. Reports to EX, CC (not sure about EQ yet).

Interesting, I've had a mortgage, loan, current account and credit card from Nationwide, they report to all three but have only ever searched Experian for anything.

BarclayCard only seem to search my Equifax file.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
