  • They use Equifax for the full search.
  • Thank you for your replies that really helps :)

Sorry if this may sound silly, but what do the terms 'search' and 'report' mean in your list? Does report mean the lender order reports from CRAs mentioned under 'report' or does it mean that if you default, the lender reports it to the mentioned CRA?
  • 'Search' means they do a credit search on you using the listed CRA, ie Equifax, Experian or Call credit
'Report' is the CRA that they report to each month when you have an account with them.
    Hope that helps.
  • Thanks a lot for this list, has really come in handy for me :)

Posted this in the wrong place so moving it here....

I know most use Experian but here are some recent applications that I have made (all within the last 12 months) and an indication of which CRA was searched (I have up to date reports from the 3 main CRAs). Interestingly, my Bank of Scotland 0% for 18 months credit card didn't search any of the CRAs. Feel free to add to this list

when you register to vote and the council puts you on. how long does it take for CRA's to update this information on your profile?

i tried to search FAQ's and stuff but couldnt find anything, then tried to phone Experian but couldnt speak to anyone because Im not a member

Last time I moved 2 years ago it took less than a month after the updated register was published - may have only been a few days come to think of it. The long delay was waiting for the council to update the register but if you call the council they will give you an exact date of when you will appear on the updated register
  • i got the date ill be on the register, i went on it this week

but Im wondering how long it takes for this to show up on experian/exquifax etc

if it took you less than a month then it should be cool

    also

anyone know any bank accounts that just use the electoral register and doesnt require me to take in documents? my passport expired last year and I dont have a driving licence yet

or if anything else is acceptable

    thanks
