Hi
This thread is excellent and very informative. Would anyone be able to tell me who the natiowide and post office would use to complete a search on a mortgage application . Thanks0 -

Just a quick update...........
I applied for an Amex Nectar card recently and as an existing customer did not get credit searched, just an unrecorded enquiry.
I also got a top-up on my Tesco loan and they searched both Equifax and Experian, they only searched Equifax when I originally took the loan.
Please keep the information coming if you've recently applied for credit, you may just help someone else out!
Regards

Hi Underground,
newbie here.....Firstly - EXCELLENT work here, thanks in advance.
K, We (wife and I !) finished an IVA last year. The details are now falling off EQ and EX as just passed 6 year mark. looking to build up credit rating now... we have a mobile contract (for 10 years+), and a standard bank account (for 5 years+) already. Wife just got a 'granite' CC accepted (they searched EX BTW). Have our mortgage and a £50 overdraft facility - that's it. We have a fair amount of joint income, and plenty of 'disposable' income. Do you think I'd get accepted for a mainstream CC (which one, dont want to touch LTSB, Goldfish, MBNA....cant remember the other one!), or better to go for a 'bad credit' CC? I'd appreciate ideas as I dont want to apply for something standard if I aint got a prayer yet of getting it!! (Dont want to spoil my zero searchs on the CRA's!!)
Appreciate any input guys....:D0 -

BT dont show on my EQ or EX, and I have been with them for years. I saw somewhere on here that they dont currently report due to errors in the past. I'm sure someone will elaborate.......0 -
Just curious
ThanksI'm not poor i'm just skint0 -
can anyone tell me what agency is used for the M & S credit card?
are they easy to get?
my equifax has fewer searches than experian-0 -
Marks & Spencer Money and Your M&S are trading names of Marks and Spencer Financial Services plc. Registered in England No 1772585. Registered
office: Kings Meadow, Chester CH99 9FB. Authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority for savings, investments and insurance. A wholly
owned subsidiary of HSBC Bank plc.
AS they are linked to HSBC they will probably search both EX and EQ0 -
