....not since my days of owning a beautiful Seleco Ceiling mounted projector have I seen such a 'filmic' result. Looks awesome with my 360 and you would be hard pressed to notice that it's not in HD, as it does such a nice job with 720p. I'm currently projecting onto a beige 'textured' wall which I thought would just be unwatchable (just due to the texture on the wallpaper), and the image is stunning
... pleanty more like that :-)
how on earth you can trust the opinions of someone who admits he is viewing it on a (1)*BEIGE* (2)*TEXTURED* (3)*WALL*, i really dont know!!! the guy has beige textured walls in his house - that alone has to tell you DO NOT TRUST HIS opinion when it comes to the visual!!! and has this beige textured wall owning guy have ever seen a hidef projector in action??? ask the man!
in any event my comment is fact - my 14" sony portable which is nearly 20yrs old is as hi def as this projector. this is a STANDARD DEF projector folks..0 -

Erm no I wasn't that clever, like guerillsaver I was a bit too quick on the reading front and forgot to click the link !!0 -
As for a cheap celing mount. I used an old TV wall bracket, and two old belts to suspend my projector (upside down) from almost the celing (bracket attached to the wall). Can supply photos if anyone wants a laugh.
I picked up a Dell 2400MP with 30% off from dell, 7% cashback from quidco and a bonus 40% cashback from Quidco, RRP £1200, cost £505 delivered. 3000ANSI and XGA. (Sorry offer just ended)

mclaren wrote:it wont take in Sky HD as it will not have HDMI connections - you can use scart but you will not get HD images - they will be SD
This is interesting, on the review site here -> http://www.homecinemachoice.com/cgi-bin/displayreview.php?reviewid=5850
It states it has a DVI in (HDCP) connection, there if you want to use it with Sky HD you have to buy a HDMI -> DVI cable.
However on the Dabs site under the spec it states it doesn't have a digital input.

I have one of these and it is very good. No complaints from me anyway. No problem with the "DLP Rainbow Effect", not that I can see anyway (although some people are more susceptible than others).
I paid £510 for mine with a "free" projector screen and extra cables, but it does look pretty good on a plain wall (magnolia!). Bought mine from Empirestores.com where it is currently £599 with the screen and 5m component cables.
It has DVI, VGA, Component, S-Video and Video input.0 -
mine just arrived - ordered yesterday from DABS - great turnaround or what! Will let you know how it goes...0

anyone recommend a cheapish pull down (ceiling mount) screen?ummm...0
