  • Hi All,

I haven't been about for the last couple of weeks due to holiday (woohoo) :D and then came back to chaos in work :(

Still it's mostly sorted now. I weigh in on a Monday morning usually but couldn't this week as we didn't get back from holiday until afterwards. I decided not to get on the scales and just wait until next week so I'm nervously awaiting Monday morning :o

I didn't go too mad on holiday but I also wasn't worried about following the plan 100% and I've not been quite on track since I've been back. i'm moving house next Saturday  (should probably do some packing!!!!) and so am trying to use up food in the house which isn't all SW friendly. So long as I still eat lots of free foods, especially my fruit and veg, I don't feel so guilty and beat myself up iykwim.

Oh and IMO I quite like the dairylea blue cheese. Obviously it's not like having the real thing but if I can count it as a HEA without using syns it gets my vote :p

Hope you all have a lovely weekend :j

That pea and leek soup sounds yum! Will have to get some leeks in!

OH joined me on the plan yesterday and already is doing my head in. He always has to go all seargent major when he's trying tolose weight so now he's refusing to go above 3 syns, I'm having to fight to get him to eat his HE's. I only had 8 syns yesterday and was pleasantly full at the end of day but he was 'ooh, struggling were you? Had to have 8 syns?' And I'm saying actually I'm pleased with how I've done today it's been a good day. He can't get his head around how eating MORE will help him lose weight. I keep trying to tell him that it's the healthy stuff he would be eating more of and that he shouldn't feel hungry on this plan (which he was by end of day) GAAAAAARGH! He keeps saying no-one will lose weight eating the amount you are telling me to eat and I just keep saying er... 9 weeks, 18lbs. Argue with that! Would anyone blame me if I clobbered him today? (Honestly he is a lovely bloke in all other ways - he just always, always goes to the extreme when he tries to lose weight and then always always piles it back on again!)

Typical bloke then :D you have my sympathy, was exactly the same when my hubby was doing sw. He stopped doing it when his dad died and has been struggling ever since but refuses to go back to sw even though he can see it works. Hes doing it HIS way [yeah right].

  • Thanks for the leek and pea soup recipe. Might make a batch of that-My husband doesn't like tomatoes, but loves leeks! Also those cheesy Cous cous look great! Going to a party tonight, and was wondering what to take-if I make a batch of them I can have 2!

i find most men have the same attitude where diets are concerned. My OH thought it was wrong to eat the amount of cheese you are allowed as a HE and says that there's no way u can lose weight if u eat that amount of cheese every day. . . He finally leaves me alone when i have cheese with stuff as i've proved him wrong! I think when they start gaining n us ladies keep losing they will finally realise we were right all along! :):):) hehe
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    Good afternoon all

Well done on the losses again folks :T
Whoopidoo -you have my sympathies.... my hubby is doing SW with me-but than gawd he is the other end of the scale..he is an "ok I will eat what you put in front of me-then tell me what syns/healthies I have left" -good job too because it makes life much easier... I tend to use as few syns as possible in the meals so hubby has his left for beer/wine/whiskey ;)
Vixie -My hubby graciously accepts that he can have 42g of low fat cheddar -only because he loves it :p-that is nearly always his healthy A at night with 4 sesame ryvitas as his healthyB -he loves that he can still have that (he has an unhealthy addiction to ryvitas )

well -we were up at 5am this morning and on the golf course by 6:30 -so thats a 2hrs 30mins trundle up n down hill -some of it spent playing tug of war with the dog (when she was on her lead ) -she won going down hill as it was covered in dew so I couldn't grip -BUT I won on the uphills as there is no way she could pull me up there :rotfl:.... its weigh day tomorrow -so pinkies crossed they are kind to me :D

    My meal plan today is:-
    • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
    • 1 banana
    • 1/2 cereal bar (1/2 healthyB)will eat the other half later
    • 1 pear
    • 1apple
    • cheesy topped beef and potato layer -left over from the other day
    • veggies
    • canteloupe melon
    • honeydew melon
    • fresh pineapple
    • huge salad
    • king prawns
    • steamed potatoes
    • HM marie rose sauce (1)
    • fruit
    • creamy yogurt (8)
I think that should be plenty for the day -I got carried away with the melon and was stuffypuddled ....
Hope everyone has a great weekend...:D
