Just a quick tip about food diaries.
I scanned a new one in (with the superfree section) and stretched it to make it A4 easier than squashing everything in saved and printed it out. That way I have one when I need one.

    Evening lovelies.

Proud moment of the day was that I wore a skirt today that last fitted me two summers ago! I also bought some size 14 trousers and they were a great fit- not tight in the slightest :T. Such a buzz!

    Today's menu has been green....

B- None- so naughty and so not like me but I got totally distracted feeding my little boy and before I knew it, it was 11 am!
L-Jacket Potato, Cheddar (HEA1), Salad, Tsp Dressing (1 syn), Skinny Latte (HEA2)
D- Quorn Chilli stuffed with veggies, Sweet Potato Wedges (1 syn for olive oil), FF Cottage Cheese, Fibre Plus Bar (HEB1)

S-Options Brownie Flavour (3 syns), 1 and a half Rich Tea (3 syns, other half a biscuit fell on the floor, which was very disappointing), Pineapple

I make that 8 syns, which is about right for me today.
:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator :p

Posted this on page 49,but didnt get any replies, tho, 3 thanks,so looks like other people maybe have the same question,Anyway Sorry to post again, but does anyone have any idea? Also,
I did "try" to join a class on Thursday but it was a bit of a disaster, the class had around 20 members staying after weigh in,plus 4 new members(myself included)joining.it seemed to go well initialy.the first 3 new memebers got weighed, but Consultant didnt have time to weigh me cos she had to give us our "new member" talk...then it turned out because the other ladies hadnt paid any fee, they shouldnt have been weighed either.!!,anyhow, the new members talk went Ok,then we joined the class. But one and a half hours later we were still there, and it all consisted of being told a story about someone who didnt count their syns properly and ended up having 70,then it was reading off the weigh in leaflets..
Mary has lost 2lb...well done, clap clap clap
    Jean has lost 1lb,..well done,clap,clap,clap.
Sarah has had a small gain, well done, clap clap clap.
And so it went on and on,from 5.30pm till 7.05pm:eek:
Meanwhile, the lady who had been helping the consultant was busy in the background packing up the cash box,and the scales!!,These were taken out to the car at 6.45,and so after 1.5hrs of well doning and clapping so much i was expecting someone to throw me a fish,i didnt get to join and i never did get weighed:(....couldnt go through that every week, thinking of searching for another class,or are they all the same now?

There's no reason why it won't work for you with just under a stone to lose, but you wouldn't find the weight loss to be quick. However, I do think that's a good thing since it will give you more time to learn new habits :)

Groups are all run the same.....except when they're not :rotfl: There is a formula that is meant to be used within each group, but as you may know yourself (and have seen on this forum recently) all Consultants are not equal. If you get a good one with lots of energy and passion for food optimising it couldn't be better, but if you get one who's only in it for the wages it won't be up to scratch.

I truly believe if you get one of the latter, you should report her/him to SW headquarters. Please don't think she would be sacked or anything - they would talk to her and offer extra training which would benefit everyone involved. A bad Consultant is a bad advert for SW so they will take any complaints seriously.

However, back to your experience. The weight lost, clap, clap etc is standard in every group but should be interspersed with tips and helpful hints when someone has done particularly well (or particularly badly). Ideally another member will up and say "Oh when that happened to me I did x, y and z and the weight dropped off the following week".

I always take recipes along to group and there should be recipe books etc out for you to look at during the tedious bits :D

The fact that you weren't weighed is unbelievable. I can only think she must have forgotten about you :( Please don't give up on SW. Try another group if there's one locally (look on the website for the nearest 10 to your post code).

    Hope that helps.

All this makes me wonder if being a consultant is something I'd like to do in the future. There's just so many things that could be talked about during the session, it's such a shame to hear some groups are getting nothing more than being weighed & hearing the weights of others. I even asked if we could do a taster session soon & basically got told what's the point with so few people? Personally I think maybe more would stay if there was food on offer! I'd love to have a part where we can talk about any offers we've seen on SW goodies as well - our consultant actually works at Tescos yet the £1 Alpen lights didn't even get a mention.

SW are always looking for new Consultants and if you're near your target (having got where you are with SW) then you stand a good chance.

It's a franchise operation (ie: you buy in and are basically your own boss) but all your training is free and you can attend as often as you like (with it being mandatory every two years, though I think it ought to be annually).

You're right, there is so much to talk about and I think, since your Consultant doesn't do it, maybe you should. When it comes to your turn to be singled out, just say "while you're with me, I'd like to mention that such-and-such is on offer at x amount in Asda this week, does anyone know of any other offers?". I'm sure that other people will be able to come up with something (specially if you pre-warn them you're going to ask). The Consultant is being very short-sighted by not doing this sort of thing herself - I wonder if she's just care-taking the group till a new Consultant comes along. It's obvious that members will flock to a group where they get useful information and a happy, relaxed atmosphere.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Hi all. Well I thought I would post what I've had to eat today. A lot of you don't look like you eat loads so thought I would post my piggy day ;)

Both HExA's = Milk for tea/coffee/cereals throughout the day

    Breakfast ~
28g porridge and 1 Ryvita (HExB) XL Laughing Cow Triangle (1 syn)
    Warm milk
    Chopped banana
    Cup of tea

    Lunch ~
    Jacket potato
    Baked beans
2 Quorn Sozzies (chopped up, mixed in beans)
    Fresh spinach
    Cherry tomatoes
    Diet Pepsi

    Snack ~
    Raspberry & Cranberry Muller Light
    Apple
Half a banana (it was manky - gave the rest to the dog. Must have squished them in my bag!)

    Dinner ~
    Quorn Stir Fry
Uncle Ben's Sweet and Sour Sauce Light (7 syns)
Dry fried egg noodles (4 syns)
Diet Pepsi (Can you tell there is a comp on the bottles? *g*)

Will prob have another snack of yoghurt & fruit later on tonight.

    Syns Total = 12

Forgot my extra HExB, hope it works out alright, hopefully the cheese triangle (which I would have to have 6 of to make it a HExB!!!) will count towards it.

There was something else I was going to say... it's gone. Will prob be back later if I remember ;)

p.s our group is very happy clappy too. Some weeks I stay, some I don't. My Dad never does - he weighs then meets me later for a cuppa in Tescos :D
:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin
