Thanks so much for this Bugeyed. My daughter has been bugging me for Publisher for ages so she can do her projects for school. I've been getting by with OpenOffice for a while but it's so nice to have Microsoft Office back. All downloaded, installed and ready to go in less than an hour.......thank you! :j

Software4students in a sudden move have released their sales of Microsoft Office 2010 Professional
    http://www.software4students.co.uk/Microsoft_Office_2010_Professional_Plus-details.aspx

The price has risen slightly to £47.34, so those that took up the 2007 purchase with free upgrade are still savers because they got it cheaper. (by 35p  )
The move has come as a surprise as the release date was originally to be June or later.
This is still a fantastic bargain and I have adjusted the thread title to reflect the new price.
Those wishing to buy at the original price of £46.99, sorry, it's gone. That's inflation for you.

    4. Microsoft have linked to us from their site - because you may think this is too good to be true. Thousands of customers can confirm this is the real deal.

Paragraph 2 says all you need to know - this isn't limited purely to students or even them and their parents - ANY family member - (cousins, 2nd cousins, great nephews and nieces - blimey we all have a student/school pupil linked somehow through the family)

Bugeyed, your constant help and support on this thread is very much appreciated. My daughter has a niece, who must qualify as a relative under their definition of family - all I need now is for her to start school!

The official release date for MS Office 2010 is meant to be in June at earliest. How Software4students managed to get a jump by releasing digital download version of Office 2010 Professional is unknown. For the sake of £8.35, the professional is far better long term value for money.
    Microsoft Office 2007 Standard includes:

    - Microsoft Office 2007 Excel
    - Microsoft Office 2007 Word
    - Microsoft Office 2007 Outlook
    - Microsoft Office 2007 PowerPoint

Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 includes:
    - Microsoft Office 2007 Excel
    - Microsoft Office 2007 Word
    - Microsoft Office 2007 Outlook
    - Microsoft Office 2007 Access
    - Microsoft Office 2007 Communicator
    - Microsoft Office 2007 PowerPoint
    - Microsoft Office 2007 InfoPath
    - Microsoft Office 2007 Publisher

The main two extras for the general public are access and publisher.
Publisher is great for kids as they can design posters and leaflets amongst other items with ease. Access is a great database tool.
But if you only want the basics then it should be available in a few weeks.

Warning: I do not advocate the following advice :Abecause it would be unethical ;)

Naughty advice to get the product now
''Of course, you could work out which school she will be going to and register as being there already. After all, that would only be a small white fib. And they can't and don't check anyway.''

If it wasn't allowed why would they list nursery schools. Nice one Ashley

Ohh, wish we'd waited to buy now that 2010 is already available through the software4students! I got The Ultimate Steal for Office 2007 and already installed that, we'll have to wait until 2010 has it's general release to get our free upgrade I guess.
