Morning all! Happy Sunday!
I see that the airports are all still shut - poor people who are trying to get home/go on holidays - it was a novelty at first but its dragging on a bit now isn't it?
Up early again today - just can't sleep once it's light. Have just walked the dog and its a bit chilly but dry at least.
Today's jobs....- Write 4 lessons - managed some yesterday but still lots to do (2 more weeks teaching practice then that's it for lesson writing at least) - all done!
- Walk dog for free exercise - done 2
- Put dry washing away done
- Did all of the housework yesterday so its just a matter of keeping it tidy today! - done
- Cook sunday lunch - done and washing up done
- Take sausages out of freezer for later done
- Make sure files are all ok ready for inspection by uni tutor tomorrow (observing me teaching for the last time ever - hurrah!) done
- Do one job application (getting fed up of this - someone give me a job!) - Done 2 and a half! Even sent one as it could be emailed, will post the other one tomorrow
- Have a NSD = finally done!
Getting there - going better than I thought today!
Also done a load of washing (where does it all come from) and a couple of surveys0 -
Hey all,
Today I have:
Seen to pets
Taken rubbish out
Looked at garden stuff, to do the garden in a few weeks should be cheap.
Rang my nan with free mins
I will:
Use free texts
Email friend back who lives abroad
Enter comps
Look at jobs
Look at job website ready for tomorrow
Hope everyone has a good day!No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
Just contacted car insurance peeps, had to speak to the renewal dept to cancel, soooo rude! I said I had a better price and he wanted the exact price to match it, but I didnt have it in front of me. I pointed out that I had done a quote from them when they sent me the renewal figure and they had quoted me £10 less than my renewal, and he basically called me a liar!:mad::mad: He said 'Oh yeah right, so you have been given a quote for £100 a year less?? Hmm'. Also asked for my NCD cert to be sent, he said they will once the cancellation has gone through. You know, if he had been nice to me I would have considered a bit of haggling, nice doesnt cost anything!

Hi everyone,
Well I have lurked here over the weekend and have now focused on getting on here!! you have all beem very busy as always!! I have been struggling with the motivation but yesterday on my way home on the train from having a lunch with a friend (she treated me so no money spent there) I used my note pad on my ipod and have come to a conclusion that I am the only one who will get the things I want done - DONE!!! So no more wasting time and feeling sorry for myself!!
Not a great start this morning as opened cc and the balance is over £4700 - NOT HAPPY!! so now its time to focus on not spending, saving where i can and making as many payments a month that i can!!! Will need to make regular ones not once at the end of the month!!!
With my loan as well amounting to over £3800 (received statement also this weekend) the debt is alot higher than what I thought so its time to be stricked with myself!!!
This weekend though I have:
- done 2 loads of hokey cokey and hung on line
- checked online banking - scary have only got just over £4 till pay day
- paypal account £100 - which will transfer to bank account then use for cc
- turned heating off all weekend (hoping gas bill is better when it comes in as was over £200 in debt)
- only spent £5.42 on shopping to get through rest of the week till payday (going to have all meals from stores as have alot more than what I though - HAPPY about that) from Asdas
- found from mr t, fabric conditioner for 40 washes for £1.80 - great news as will get at least 70 washes out of that (I am so tight when it comes to washing powder and softner)
COuld I ask a question please - my cousin gave me some samples of body lotions etc and I dont use the particular brand (sensitive skin!) - is it wrong of me to list them on ebay??? I know she was doing it to be really nice and I couldnt say no but because of my skin and the type of product it is I just cant use them?
Trying to think of many ways and things to make money!!!!!
Hope your all ok and enjoying the sunshine!!!! Its lovely!!!!!0 -

I'd definitely go for it! You can't chuck 'em out, can you...
If you don't then definitely incorporate them into a birthday/christmas pressie/hamper etc. Then you can at least save money that way.
Anyway, glad you came back this weekend - we're all here to spur you on :beer:0 -

Thank you for reassuring me, I will try listing at first then will incorporate where possible, thats a good idea. Birthday/christmas's are expensive, but I am starting to buy as I go along so its not one big mad rush stress of where will the money come from!
thank you for your support, i do need the spurring on, have got lots to clear and lots to achieve! x0 -
Hi All....
Lovely weekend - BUT absolutely awful DFW weekend. I've spent a fortune and now feel totally sick. Had a BBQ yesterday and spent a fortune on food and drink for it - it was a lovely night but I just can't help feeling that this kind of thing is exactly how i got myself into this mess in the first place. I need to really save money now for the next few weeks to compensate as I had my heard set on paying £500 of my loan this month but don't think I'll get anywhere near that now. I have a few committments this month also which i know will stop me working over time - and i've got 2 birthdays coming up so feeling a bit stressed.
I've already bought the presents ( on the internet with cash back) its just the meal out which will be a lot ( and its my sister so I really need to try and go). They are both on week nights which means no overtime!!
On the up side - the garden is now beautiful as we spent all day saturday clearing it ready for the BBQ - so if we do get people viewing the house at least theres now a chance it might sell.
I've also done my petrol claim forms this evening so will get a bit extra next month... very budget meals this week - pasta and pesto , baked potatoes and beans me thinks!!
Sorry for the moan... I need to remember how i feel now - to stop me reverting back to my old habits - writing it down really helps!Baby due 4th May 2013
January grocery challenge £2000 -
its good to get it all out written down and have a moan, we are all here to read!!
I know how you are feeling, when you go over the top and spend on things you really you shouldnt have spent so much on and your aims suffer slightly and then the guilt hits you its awful! I have been feeling this recently to the point of not coming on here!
but hey you have got it out, we all need a treat every now and then and did you enjoy yourself?
you will be fine and will be back to nomal in no time achieveing your dfw!!!0
