I really need to sort out a new signature!
  • Morning everyone,

    So far I have:

    - Had quick shower
    - Eaten breakfast so I don't get peckish when I'm out in town later
    - Put a load of washing on which has now finished and I'm going to line dry
    - Phoned my mum on free minutes
    - Washed up
    - Checked onlilne banking and updated spending diary with something I'd forgotten about
    - Started meal planning for the week
    - Made sure OH takes last nights leftovers for lunch at work today (he keeps forgetting)

    and I plan to:

    - Go shopping for food with my list
    - Pop into Iceland to see if there are any bargains for my freezer
    - Go and put a cheque in for a student who's staying with us next week
    - Might make some bread
    - Will make a meal for tonight
    - Do 2 further loads of washing and line dry (1 load is only to freshen up so will use eco-balls)
    - Cut the daffs back
    - Do a bit of tidying/cleaning

If I manage all of that I will have felt that's a good day!

Enjoy the sun if you have it :-)

Morning folks , this is very early for me as i dont usually surface till nearer lunch on a day off :p But a work colleague texted me at 8 am so I thought i might as well make a move as I have a lot to do today. I have been working like a dog for the past 10 days and the house has suffered.

    Today I will :

check online banking - its tight but i should make it - no extra payments this month though. 10 days to payday

Do a budget for next month - pay will be better so need to move more to savings / extra payments

All meals from stores- bolognase for tea tonight.

Shop for sunday lunch locally - slightly more expensive but i will only buy what i need so works out cheaper and supports local shops - still bought more than i intended

Lots of HC , line dry - DD has vomiting bug and keeps missing the bowl  - 2 loads done , 3rd in machine . DD has produced another mountain to be done tommorow :(

Wizz round the house and have a good tidy - wow it looks like a home again and not a tip !

Beencounting i hate gardening too but my DB cut my lawn last week while i was working so if i get chance i'll try and make start by getting rid of the bottles lying around from last years party and have a general tidy up, maybe it will be good enough to sit out with a glass of wine tonight :D- did a quick tidy round then sat out with a cuppa , if the chair is pointing in the right direction it looks alright :)

Do some surveys - awaiting a few vouchers

Do some competitions ( some before i get up and some tonight)

Wait and see what the postie brings today - yesterday i got a book about champagne from the freebies board , which if you are interested i reccomend. And i got a pack of thongs with an interesting catalogue from the competitions board.- got a £1 voucher as an apology for freebie not being available .

While I am on a roll i have emailed local parlimentary candidate that is campaining strongly in my area and told him what I think of his leaflet ! I am not elderly and have no children in school , i do not live in a council house so what exactly is he going to do for me ?

Instead of binning the grotesque packet of crisps i got in a multi pack i have packaged them up with a letter of complaint to the company- we will see.

ex oh and his new family have flights booked out of portugal today with Ryanair who are not flying until monday at earliest - i'm sorry for anyone who is suffering with this but the further away from me he is the better (i'm not bitter :rotfl:)

    Morning everyone!

No rose hangovers here - a beer one instead :naughty: Went out after work last night for 4 half pints...and a take away pizza on the way home :o Ah well, have updated spending diary - £15 - and "I'm reviewing...the situation..." (lol) and will do better in future! Also had to get a taxi home cos my feet were killing in beloved shoes that have only recently started to hurt!! So that was £6 wasted. Boo.

    My list for the weekend:
    • Catch up with the flylady thread!! (Cleaning to keep me out of money-spending trouble.)
    • Get a charity/car boot/ebay bag together and decide what to do with those CDs...
    • Re-used a bag yesterday so saved 4p and didn't need to buy another one
    • Wash make-up brushes
    • Put any change in the jar - almost £20 again (it's one of those ones that count on the top), which has been used the past twice for a bottle of wine when we go out for a meal on clubcard vouchers so it's kinda 'free'.
    • Tying my hair up so it doesn't need washing
    • Quick hokey cokey on 30 - can get away with it after my trip to the launderette with sheets and towels. I've come to the conclusion that there will never be a time when I don't have any washing to do - I wouldn't be able to fit all the clothes in the wardrobe if everything was clean! (Not that I have too many clothes - just a tiny bedroom.)
    • Making a weetabix loaf
    • Coming up with some sort of meal plan for next week and deciding whether we need a big online shop or can hold off for another week
    • Count my pennies to see how much I can sponsor my friend
    • Phone mum with free mins to see if she caught her flight - that's funny about your ex, Picasso - wouldn't it be a shame if he couldn't get back?! :rotfl:
    • No trip to the beautician so far in 2010 :A - so some DIY pampering later
    • Wedding planning (with no unplanned/spur of the moment buying going on!) only after everything is done!
Josiebabie - I will try the 20 min thing... Never really timed it. Hate this immersion tank business!!

    Catch up soon

    La xx

BTW what time is cheap electric?

I think it'll say on your bill. I'm on a deal where it's the same price all the time but other deals are more expensive during the day and cheaper over night but think the time depends on your provider/deal. It might be on the comparison sites.

Plans for today largely revolve around enjoying the weekend as much as possible, so:
    • [STRIKE]drop off vacuum for paren-in-laws (today is our last possible day as they are currently on the motorway returning from their hols!) oh is vacuuming right now ;)[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]clean kitchen :( [/STRIKE] partially done....
    • [STRIKE]make bread[/STRIKE] didn't come out right so now will have to make another
    • [STRIKE]borrow pil's national heritage cards and go visit a castle :D[/STRIKE] Dover Castle, was lovely although still feeling poorly
    • [STRIKE]maybe do some food shopping - boo :([/STRIKE]
    • later either - go for a drink at a local, watch a film, play scrabble? not sure yet... we bought a bottle of fizzy wine and are going for a walk to watch the sunset in a bit :j
    • also did 40mins gardenijng - weeding, repotting seeds that hav e shooted- only thing is I didn't put labels so not entirely sure what has shooted :o, couple more sessions and the garden will be done :j
