    Morning all, sun's shining, isn't it amazing the difference it makes??

    On the moneysaving list today is....

    * ordered book for cousin's birthday off Amazon - saving £2 on Waterstone's price :)
    * checked online banking
    * bought tax disc for van for year (£15 more than expected, but still budgeted for!)
    * home made bread for breakfast :)
    * emailed some work I've already been paid for - good to get it out of the way!

    And I will...

    * buy cheap milk from newsagents
    * make yogurt
    * make soft cheese
    * do a bit of gardening, plant out some peas
    * go to community garden work day round the corner
    * experiment with sewing elastic into corners of flat sheet to make it fitted :)
    * finish off some voluntary work
    * start some paid work
    * make lunch to take to work tomorrow
    * read about electricity meters!

    We're terrible lately for not turning things off, especially things on standby... We're going to have a big review of bills this month, so today I've just ventured into the cellar to read the electric meter. Gosh, it seems to be fair whizzing round!

    ONly got things plugged in in the kitchen, but in there we've got..

    - 6 lights (all energy saving, and it's dingy in here, but still!)
    - 3 phone chargers without phones
    - mp3 charger (in use)
    - laptop charger (plugged into my laptop)
    - lots of Mr Daffs' guitar pedals

    Might have to do a bit of jiggling so the phone chargers aren't on the same multi switch thing as the lights... (seems ludicrous just even writing it!)

    Have a good day all...
    x

    • Had Weetabix loaf for breakfast http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=215590

    • [STRIKE]Quick hokey cokey on 30[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]No trip to the beautician so far in 2010 :A - so some DIY pampering later[/STRIKE]

    Hope everyone has a great rest of weekend.

    Will pop back later

  • Morning Everyone. Sooo sunny again here.

    This morning. I have had a lovely cooked breakfast yum yum, and added all my points up like a good girl:rotfl:

    Two shepherds pies made one gluten free with grated carrots (to hide the extra veg lol) which 2 portions will end up in freezer, the other full of lovely veg will be dinner when MIL comes later this afternoon

    Should be a nsd
    Washing ready to go in will have to dry in garage room as dh is monopolising the garden with some DIY project
    Ironing later when MIL goes home (I only iron items that desperately need it:p)
    Someone mentioned cleaning a blind and it saving them some money and it got me thinking, DD was complaining about curtains in her room letting light in, I was going to buy/make some linings, but I still have the ones from her old room which were lined, a little alteration and:D hey presto.
    I will do a quick swish around bathroom, so it smells nice and looks a little less grimy.

    I need to find my shiny new file to put all my bills away for this year.

    So I am off to make a cup of tea and chop fruit for lunch

    Enjoy your sunday everyone:D
    My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly
