  • I think it'll say on your bill. I'm on a deal where it's the same price all the time but other deals are more expensive during the day and cheaper over night but think the time depends on your provider/deal. It might be on the comparison sites.

Thank you! Will have to check, we don't get paper statements but might be able to check online.

Oops :o Thanks Cleosmum. I might have the wrong end of the stick then... In fact, I think I'm getting confused with pricing that is Xp for the first so many KWH and then cheaper for the rest of the usage...I think my 'fixed rate' just means I get the same rate no matter how little or how much I use and then pay a daily standing charge.

    Sorry Determined 2b debt free...

I used to have Economy 7 years ago and the leccy was cheaper between midnight and 6am, or thereabouts. I know my gas is Xp for the first so many units and then goes up, think leccy is the same. Always worth checking though :)

    hi everyone,
    today i have
    done free scratch cards
done one load of HC in cheap leccy and dried it outside (i love the smell of line dried washing!)
been to the allotment and planted 3 rows of spuds and about 100 onions, got loads more to do.
put seeds in trays (bit late): normal toms, cherry toms, spinich, peppers, aubergines
been to garden centre, got a big posh pot and 'golden wedding' rose for OH's parents golden wedding anniversary later this month, got a free pot so bought a rose for my mum so she can have the same as a birthday pressy.

    tomorrow we will:
    check all accounts and update
book week away in June and do via quidco
allotment - plant beans, plant carrots and lettuce and anything else i can find
find my courgette seeds, i know i have them, and plant
    put flower seeds in trays
another load of HC overnight and dry outside

    Morning all! Happy Sunday!
I see that the airports are all still shut - poor people who are trying to get home/go on holidays - it was a novelty at first but its dragging on a bit now isn't it?

Up early again today - just can't sleep once it's light. Have just walked the dog and its a bit chilly but dry at least.

    Today's jobs....
    • Write 4 lessons - managed some yesterday but still lots to do (2 more weeks teaching practice then that's it for lesson writing at least)
    • Walk dog for free exercise
    • Put dry washing away
    • Did all of the housework yesterday so its just a matter of keeping it tidy today!
    • Cook sunday lunch
    • Take sausages out of freezer for later
    • Make sure files are all ok ready for inspection by uni tutor tomorrow (observing me teaching for the last time ever - hurrah!)
    • Do one job application (getting fed up of this - someone give me a job!)
    • Have a NSD
That's it for today - hope everyone has a lovely day.

My cheap rate Economy 7 runs from 11.30pm to 7.30am which is actually 8 hours. I called my supplier last week to check that was correct and it is! Josie is only ten miles away and hers finishes at 6.30am so has less time to get washing etc finished. It really depends on the supplier and the contract you have.
