Well found a bank statement that goes up to the 24 Dec which looks reasonable - so hopefully bank account still fine even tho I've had no access for about 2 weeks. It's my cashback card I am worried about... just checked - its been paid something - perhaps not enough to clear December's balance but enough to keep my record clean! Really need my pin sentry device to come!
Waiting for about 5 parcels at the mo - wouldn't mind but slow has been cleared here for a while!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hope you are feeling better - these streaming colds going about are awful. I had it over New Year - started on 28th December and only just about feel like myself again. DH has had it too and it's hit him much harder than me - he's actually agreed to go to doc tomorrow - unheard of. I'm So my sympathies are with you - it's good you get the chance to work from home. Take care.

hi Tirl - hope you are okay
Feeling a bit better today.
Managed to get back on top of money a bit this afternoon. Have gone thro the budget planner and renamed 3 savings pots online - 1 for gym and holidays, 1 for gifts and 1 for transport....
So hopefully rather than trying to pay each major bill as it comes up - planning to save around £500 pcm towards annual bills - will try and pay £800 pcm off debt and then try and live within our means beyond that...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

OH and I have also agree £10 each a week "free spend" - and that this doesn't have to cover work lunches or clothes... could be fun!
We've also allowed a bit more for eating out and taking time out with the kids
Trying to create a budget we can actually live with and that doesn't feel like a chore. Rather than always feeling guilty about the grocery spend - I've put it in for a higher amount... Lets hope this approach works!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Was going to try and see if I was up to doing some work from home today - but it took me half an hour to hoover the lounge (in prep) as kept having to rest and felt really breathless! So I think my body is still unhappy and ill! I weighed myself today - and appear to have lost 6lb in a week which is about the only positive I can find at the mo!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
