Looks like the reply is a bit like the service.

    Stops short of expectations ;)

charles wigoder wrote to give the company response as:
A number of issues have been raised

Though seemingly got fed up after only tackling one!

He commented that storing credit card numbers for possible use at any future time to collect money is included in their Ts + Cs.

This has not been disputed in this thread - the relevant condition was in fact quoted verbatim on this thread as long ago as July 3rd. No doubt the clause is on the back of the application form, but that form is of course returned to the company. When subsequently T+ send all customers a copy of our full terms and conditions as soon as their application is processed, then this must be the 12 page document, with the relevant clause found in small print on page 6!

Since July 3rd, we have been discussing the way that T+ choose to make use of this condition.

From posts in this thread it seems to take months for T+ to resolve disputed invoices - and in each of the cases detailed above, the company were in the wrong, and eventually admitted it!

The business of hanging on to card details is surely just intended so that T+ can attempt to get paid what they are owed, should a DD request be dishonoured.

The problem seems to be that should a member have disclosed their credit card details to T+, then they seem to find it impossible to stop a payment should any invoice be disputed.

(As stopping the usual payment method just results in T+ getting the money by way of using the stored card details)

It is quite normal practice that one should only pay for an invoice that one agrees with, and obviously once a notice of a disputed invoice is given, then T+ should be expected to put a hold on taking any payment till the dispute is resolved.

Merely referring to the Ts + Cs doesn't add anything to the discussion!

A point to be answered is how can a customer stop money being collected when T+ send a bill that is wrong?

We would obviously welcome more responses from the company on other matters:

Misleading advertising (the ASA at long last have been able to act, and last month upheld 4 complaints against T+ for misleading advertising (including the claim made that they offer "the cheapest gas & electricity")! (And in view of this why don't you stop this misleading advertising on your website - we know that your website is unregulated as far as telling the truth in adverts, but a reputable operation wouldn't take advantage of this - especially after being hauled over the coals by the ASA!)

T+ reps using this site to pose as 'satisfied customers' and posting their links to the T+ website.

The T+ Senior Exec posting on this site under various aliases with links to his t+ website.

The cavalier attitude of T+ reported above when replying to the complaints that they are regularly breaching the contract by not giving the appropriate notice before taking money from members' bank accounts.

The regular breaching of the DD arrangement whereby adequate notice is not being given before money is taken.

Which version of your Ts + Cs are you working to? Do your members know?

Comments on these matters would be a start!

Dispite being abroad at the moment I read these pages with interest. This company never ceases to amaze me, I note a nother commission grabber has crept out of the wood work ;D OOPS 8) back to the sun ;)

This particular "commission grabber" may be the big cheese at T+ !

(Their founder and chief executive is one Charles Francis Wigoder - or to give him his full title, the Hon Charles Wigoder (son of Lord Wigoder QC.) )

So if it is the same guy, he's rather put his foot in it with this half hearted attempt at putting the company line - especially after he posted this:
thought a response from the company might be useful. We do take our customer siding ouervice responsibilities seriously but we arn't perfect - yet! A number of issues have been raised:-

then went on to merely restate the famous Ts +Cs regarding them storing credit card numbers, and petered out!

I put in my meter readings on Saturday 31st.
TPlus wrote me a letter on 2nd August saying my gas reading was out of range.
Received it in the post 3rd August.

Very strange then that their bills and only their bills are late every month.

I don't buy the excuse about Royal Mail because in my experience it is only every the TPlus bills that are late.

With Royal mail I wuld expect a more random outcome i.e. different bills being late, rather than the same ones all the time.

Sorry, but I don't buy it that it's Royal Mails fault.

  • I am amazed at the people on here with problems with bills from T+ everyone has choice...I signed up for the whole package and its saving me heaps...

If you want seperste bills for everything your living in the dark ages...all companies are trying to get the 1 bill for all mentality...

I know I sound biased, but I have had no problems and my friends haven't either...

Its cheaper for everything if you take into consideration their loyalty bonuses for services...I read this and just checked what happens to my multi service payment...

I have all the services: gas, electric, mobile, landline, broadband and 0800

That gives me £50 pa on the anniversary of me signing up and all the other services are cheaper by miles anyway...

My friend is an agent for telecomplus or utilities warehouse might be the same thing...he got me on it and i thank him for that...

If they did something to make my bills go up like any normal person I would look for a cheaper supplier...

The French guy on here and some others had problems and I pitty them as if you were that bothered when you could see it going wrong why didn't you say something earlier...and if you look at the shares I think they are going to be in the arena for a long time yet...so remember its all about choice...

I know my parents were duped into signing some forms and then the energy changed to some well known company that said they were required to get a signature for the meter readings...my parents being retired and late 70's...signed!!!

Only after I went to see them did the farce get sorted out!!!

Sorry for ranting on...but if I don't want to be with telecomplus I just give 30 days notice and I can change back to someone else...so I see no problems so far and thats 1 year on

If there is someone cheaper please get back to me as I do like to save as much as possible...especially BT line rental (ridiculous rip off merchants!!!)

Tony if you get on here and see this thanks for changing my sceptical veiws!!! ;D

    Hi Highprofile

Good job you've joined this site!

If you have put all your utilities to T+ by way of your friend, you should be in for some moneysaving!

(Even their reps have admitted their telephony is expensive!)

Have a look throughout the site and you will find independent advice (your friend can't be independent) on cheaper deals for utilities and mobiles etc.

I see you are expecting £50 on the anniversary of signing up - you did well to get all 6 services connected simultaneously - there are reports of great delays in getting the gas and electricity transferred, yet you appear to have done all 6 transfers on the same day! Remember that they will only send you the money if you ask for it!

And it is subject to a clawback if you drop any services before 15 months are up!

As you will have seen from all the comments posted throughout this Board, you have been very lucky to have had a smooth relationship!
