    Just to remind everyone..

GB lied in the debate, he used info that has proved to be untrue.

I'll leave the rest to you.

Blacklight, how did your prediction that 'Dave' will be in his element and wipe the floor with the others work out? He managed to look even more lightweight than he really is.

Dave did perfectly well. Brown was shown up as a dithering fool with his cumbersome out of place jokes and his "we will do three things" mantra. you've been in for 13 years, why haven't you done them yet????

Clegg was simply irritating - like a small child saying "why why why why" all the time. He will NEVER be PM and it is therefore easy for him to be a bit more "truthful"

don't you understand - its not a big vote winner for Dave, when Brown is saying "we are going to keep spending on police etc" (despite not having the money to do it) to say "vote Tory, we will cut everything". That puts people off voting for you because whilst it does need to happen, 99% of voters are morons. Clegg can go a bit fuurther because he knows he has no chance.

    Watched the first 10 mins.

After that my eyes glazed over, my jaw went slack and I decided that nailing the last solo of Pink floyds 'Comfortably numb' at high volume was going to be far more fun, so I repaired to the study and did just that.

Today I read that apparently Clegg won....does he get to be PM now or is that not how it works?

Watched only the last bit, because wife wanted to see Country House Rescue:cool:

Cameron was below par, looked uncomfortable and nervous.
Brown did better than expected IMO, although he often got caught out on the 'things he will do' bringing up the question why it wasn't done in the past 13 years.
And as Horse says, Clegg has it easy. No responsability, no recent record of being in power and one populist idea after the other...scrap trident, tax the bankers, mansion tax, etc...

Heard on LBC radio this morning a caller saying she liked Clegg because he had 'that twinkle in his eyes'. :o Defo a reason to vote Libdem :o

Isn't it good that Cameron was nervous - suggests that he is taking it seriously - do we really want someone as PM who would not find this situation slightly nerve inducing, one of my bugbears with GB is he is too far outside the 'normal' range of personality types. Not sure about talking to the camera rather than the audience, the latter sounds more 'reasonable' to me but that does not mean it comes over better.

I did not watch it all but bits I saw GB was not appearing to listen to the others but just carrying on with his planned line, Cameron seemed even more insincere than usual and Clegg seized the opportunity to say things that people want to hear utilising the outsiders advantage to the full.
    I think....

Just confirmed what a bunch of glib tongued liars they all are; they skirted around too many issues and a lot of issues that are of public concern were not even addressed - result I will still be voting UKIP.
On the other hand Question time was a much better watch!!!!!!!!!

The whole voting system doesn't work anyway, why? because people are stupid.

I asked somebody about the debate this morning and they told me who they where voting for, when I asked why I got "because i always have". I did point out its not like a football team and you can change you mind as often as you want. The point was lost.

Basically until we can be sure all votes are considered and thought about by people with half a brain what is the point?

As for the debate, it just struck me and red and blue fight and when they have done yellow will drop a nuke on them both (quite literally it seems).
