I did'nt watch it - was watching 2012. It turned out to be all hype but did'nt deliver on the storyline...... sounds kind of familiar?!

If the debate was hard questioning by Jeremy Paxman, along with a team of expert economists instantly analysing and voting on the 'pledges' then I would have watched it.
  • you know this is completely untrue so why even type it?

let me rephrase it - the clear winner in the view of people with brains, was Cameron.

Clegg is a joke. Like a wasp at a picnic.

Vote conservative or else we are utterly utterly f**ked. look at Ireland now, for UK in 3 years time under the mad spender...

Who is in touch with reality?

    Who signs this off?

    The point is someone did.

There's loads of bureaucracy and wastage in all public sector work where they get ripped off by private companies. We could instantly find £170bn and pay the national debt tomorrow if we had a look at the books.

That would leave an awful big hole in private companies pockets and trash the economy overnight though. You would see massive negative growth to the tune of £170bn.
  • you know who should run the country - Tesco.

one man's waste is another man's income

however, we can't run a £170bn deficit for very long

Exactly - you get the headlines, but none of the detail. It's great for upsetting Mr Angry the Mail reader who can't be bothered to find out the real story.

This is a high performance traffic car and used every day for police work. About £30k of the (incorrectly quoted total cost) is specialist kit installed in every traffic car.

The police have procurement rules to go through.

The only way to save the £73,000 is to reduce the number of traffic cars in service.

Just another list of giveaways and public spending promises when the country has a £167 Billion deficit this year alone. Does the country need or can it afford a £17 billion income tax cut as Clegg was proposing? What will it take before politicians and their grovelled to public face up to their spending? Do we have to end up like California, Greece or Japan before reality sets in? The answer to that is yes, it seems "we" do but of course it is too late by then (that day is here already actually.)

Brown made me laugh when he tried to justify the war in iraq and afghanistan, he said it was to thwart a terrorist attack, we never had a terrorist attack untill july 2005.

If only we would have kept our noses out, we probably would never have had a attack from islamic fundamntalists, but instead blair at the time was like bush's lapdog and had to say yes we will help.

Now nearly 10 years on our soldiers are coming back in body bags and badly injured.

Another thing brown kept in going on about was crime figures being down, the reason they are down are people are to afraid to report crime, they know if they report a crime nothing will get done and their lives will be made unliveable after by the criminal they have reported.

I wont be voting labour and the only one that came out with any credit was clegg.

One of the best lines which absolutely no one is picking up on, was where he blamed the equipment issue on the Taliban changing their tactics!! So our military strategy is being run by the Taliban, is it?!!!

no the clear winner was clegg but you're obviously some bum licking tory boy with no brain of your own. even cameron knows himself that he didn't win the debate
Martin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.
  • lets see how clegg does in the next two.

lets see if he says "actually the lib dems said that 7 years ago and lets be honest, lets be honest, lets be honest..."

if he was really honest he should talk about the massive tax rises that would be imposed under their regime.

he is lucky that the threat of a hung parliament means that McBust and Cameron HAVE to be nice to Nick. "I agree Nick" "i'm sure Nick agrees with me" "three bags full Nick".

    Wake up people.
